write a minimum of six lines in iambic pentameter.the first four may be in blank verse(or rhymed if you choose so), but you must end your poetic epitaph as shakespeare did a scene,in a heroic couplet.the tone of your epitaph must be eloquent and formal, paying serious homage to the literary contributions which shakespeare made to the world.

i have to make a completely different one!all i need is somewhere to start!please help!

I won't write it for you but shakespeare had a few bad habits, he liked to gamble and drink, maybe add a zip and be creative about his last drink and game of chance? I know this because my ancestor was a gambling and drinking partner of his, John Combs, "Merchant of Venice" my ancestor is buried in the same church as Shakespeare

Some Shakespeare facts that might help jump-start your creativity:

He was a playwright, a poet, and an actor.

His plays included comedies (plays featuring a lot of humor and generally ending with conflicts being resolved and couples getting married), tragedies (plays in which larger-than-life heroes who have great virtues and also great shortcomings suffer and die because of their personal flaws), and histories (plays about wars and other adventures involving Kings of England who lived before Shakespeare's time).

Two of the theatres where his plays were performed during his lifetime were the Globe and the Rose.

He was born in a country town but spent his professional life in the big city.

The epitaph that he composed for himself urged people not to dig him up after he had been buried.

Unlike the plays written by many other authors of his time, his works are still performed all over the world four centuries after his death.

Any decent encyclopedia article about Shakespeare will give you additional information you can use.

Epitaphs sometimes begin with the words "Here lies. . . ." Shakespeare's epitaph begins with direct address to anyone who happens to visit his grave: "Good friend. . . ."
