i tutored a failing calculus student for 35 hours in 2 weeks. The student's mother said that she will send me a check in mail, but i never got anything at all.

I left answering machine messages and emails too, but none of them were replied back.

Coincidentally i got hold of student's mother at grocery store, and she said ---

"we are not paying you. you have no proof you ever tutored son. do whatever you want. if you talk more, i will scream in this crowded store that you are trying to sexually harass me here and store will arrest you."

i'm math majoring senior and i get B.S. in mathematics in May of 2008.

But my 35 hours of tutoring got wasted if i'm never paid. The student was badly failing in calculus and now he's recovered a lot only because of my help.

what to do now? is it my mistake that i trusted them?

This other girl and me have been best friends until I moved away some time when I was in middle school. We're still GREAT friends. She's very nice, and has TONS of friends in school. And I mean TONS, and TONS. She's sooo popular (in a good way)...She has over almost 700 friends on facebook, and she's just so outgoing and talkative.
Me on the other hand...I'm quiet and shy, and while I do have friends and I talk to the people in my class, I don't talk to EVERYONE (the way she does), and I don't have a ton of friends. I have 100 something friends on facebook. I would like to talk to more people, though.

And I feel bad because I'm so quiet and shy. I mean, I still have a great time with my friends, but I just dont mix with a whole lot of people--the way she does. And it seems as if I can't change.
how can I stop feeling so bad about myself just be happy?

Every year I do this theatrical concert performance. There's this guy who is in it as well, who's parents are friends with my parents. However he is very egoistic, has a wierd domineering attitude, thinks he's better than all the other guys, etc..... To make the story short, got in an argument with him and then he sends me a really offensive nasty e-mail saying that him and everyone else thinks I act like a snob and that I should watch my mouth or else. He thinks he could take me out on a fight. But really, this guy is shorter than I'am, skinny, doesnt know how to fight, and hardly works out at the gym. I've been training for years in Taekwondo and lift heavy weights at the gym five days a week. Personally, I could take this guy out with one punch or a combination move. How do you think this situation should be handled ???

I was watching a live Camera feed from the Oval office. One of the President's aids decided to play a joke on him, and put a live goose in his office. I felt some should know, as he was a standard some of us tried to copy.

Ok. I have been married for 7 years with my husband for 10. About 3 years ago things started to fall apart. I found out he was talking to girls all the time at all hours. He was gone all the time "working" and then one night he came home drunk and hit me many times. We have been separated every since about 5 months. We are currently going through the divorce process and are getting close to the end. My problem is that I still love him, even after all of it. Am I stupid or should I consider not going through the divorce? I feel like the victim, and he took away everything. He has asked to come back many times which I said no. But when I look at him I do feel so sad and miss him. What do I do?

when I call my guy , sometimes he doesnt call me back right away -i have to call another time to reach him even though I leave him a message . Then tonight we were sapose to talk at 9 .I have called him 2 times & no answer.
