Yes, you can do so from http://www.vtext.com/, which is a Verizon website, no registration required.

Yes, you can go to the verizon website and send texts and your number will not show up.

On most carriers websites you would be able to send a text to a phone and it would not display your phone number. Also, with some newer phones you can block your number from showing up.

This is a text you do not really want to send. It seems to me that there is a childish motive involved. To answer your question.....no. Your number will be displayed.
