Hello,
I work in a small business and when I was hired my bosses said I had to become a notary. So now I am one and a few months back I notarized a basic statement for a woman and she has since died. Now her brother wants to convert that statement to a will and I have to make an oath before a clerk in order to do so.

I work for a small office where I am the only one here. If I go to court it requires me to shut down the business and lose money. It is very inconvenient to me. I would have to go downtown and use my gas and time to do this. They offered salary reimbursement but I feel this is not worth shutting down the business or the stress.

His lawyer has been calling me constantly threatening that he'll get a subpoena. Can he do this? It was just a rudimentary document that I notarized with no required witnesses. What can I do?

Thanks

X (a random variable) has a double exponential distribution with parameter p>0 if its density is:

f_X(x) = 1/2 * e^(-p*|x|) for all x.

Prove that the variance of X = 2/(p^2).

I guess I'm having trouble performing the integration. If anyone could show how to do it step by step, it would be very helpful:

Mutual funds are as uncontrollable as the entire Stock market and I don't see low risk funds do any better in hard times then high rsik, isn't that false advertising?

i take a deck of playing cards. i can pick one card at random....and then i pray that god tells me what it is....and then i announce what card it is....and when i flip it over i am correct.... about 1 in 13 times. if i pray for the exact card and the exact suit....its usually only about 1 in 52....but still, pretty good that god can make me 'know' what the exact card is sometimes. it really makes me get goosebumps.

wow! god is good.

12 our of 13 times he doesn't answer my prayer.....but my fellow christians have told me that he IS answering my prayer...he is just saying "no." sometimes. hence ergo...prayer works. just the other day (after only 34 tries) i called the jack of diamonds. you know what card it was? thats right! now, how can you deny prayer?

If I short sell my home for $50,000 less than what is owed, the bank will then submit a 1099. What does this mean exactly? Will I be paying for an extra $50,000 income or is this essentially a bill from Uncle Sam for $50,000?

Right now he is working 3 hours away from home and will be there until the middle of December. We have gone through many deployments in the past that have lasted a lot longer than this, but I never feel safe at night. The other day my neighbor had a strang man that was beating on her door and would not leave even though she told him to. Now I'm really afraid. What can I do?
