No I think it is nature's way to make people happy. I was not and could not be happy with a man.

I do, to some extent. Studies show that more often than not, the gay male is the youngest member of the family or the youngest male in the family, in other words the genetics and hormones of the mother may be determining which children should want to reproduce. If there are already several male offsrping, the last one tends to be gay, so he won't want to mate with females.
Same is true for older guys. Most guys that come out as bisexual tend to do so at around 40 or so, when the female partner or wife is no longer as interested in sex. But instead of roaming to younger, viable females, many guys will start being interested in males more---again a way to curb population growth and increase species diversification.

Homosexuality was encouraged among the Greeks and Spartans. It was believed to be a way to get your soldiers to fight harder - to protect each other.
With 7 billion people on this planet if it was meant to help control the population, it isn't working. The only requirement for parenthood in this country is fertility - not sexual orientation.

I don't think homosexuality is prevalent enough in nature to be an effective population control. In nature things like predators, harsh winters, lack of food, diseases and loss of territory do a much more effective job of controlling population.
I think homosexuality is just one of those things that happens in nature, not necessarily for a specific reason.

I am not a christian. However I am familiar with the parts of their bible they ignore because it does not fit their dogma. Jesus said, "There will come a day you will say, 'Cursed the womb that gives birth and the breasts that suckle." Yes I do think that homosexuality is one method of controlling overpopulation.
God is love and no act of love can ever be a sin. Be the best you, you can be. Try never to harm others. allow no other to harm you. Use your head first and your heart second. Advice from an old gay man who has lived too long and loves his LGBT grandchildren. I could never be angry with one of them.

I don't know about that. I think homosexuality has been around through both the low points and the peaks of the world's population throughout history.

All I know is that homosexuals have contributed greatly to society since time began... in countless ways... and have a unique gift of balance between "yin and yang" which serves to give greater clarity...
the world is a better place because God gave us homosexuals!!

there are many theories out there from hormonal imbalances during pregnancy to the mother rejecting the baby fetus. personally I believe that because we are all females until about 9 weeks during gestation, i believe that boys are given enough male hormones to become males but they still have more female hormones to make them attracted to the same sex, and the varying degrees (bisexual, slightly gay, slightly straight) depends on the amount of hormones. same with females, only they get some of the male hormones

Life and people are complicated that a simple purpose like that. And why does there need to be a purpose? It does not change the fact that gays are in existence.

historically homosexual behavior was on the rise in societies that were economically developed. for example Ancient Rome or the USA. so it could be that because life is good and you don't need to make kids to fight wars and plow fields that this trends develops. of course, no one knows for sure.
