i take a deck of playing cards. i can pick one card at random....and then i pray that god tells me what it is....and then i announce what card it is....and when i flip it over i am correct.... about 1 in 13 times. if i pray for the exact card and the exact suit....its usually only about 1 in 52....but still, pretty good that god can make me 'know' what the exact card is sometimes. it really makes me get goosebumps.

wow! god is good.

12 our of 13 times he doesn't answer my prayer.....but my fellow christians have told me that he IS answering my prayer...he is just saying "no." sometimes. hence ergo...prayer works. just the other day (after only 34 tries) i called the jack of diamonds. you know what card it was? thats right! now, how can you deny prayer?

Prayer definitely exists. Now pray to an empty milk carton that you will win the lottery after buying a ticket. If you win, your prayer was answered. If you lose your prayer was answered (with a "no"). Prayer definitely exists - there is just no proof at all that it has any REAL effectiveness, although it might help the mind to focus, and is probably of some benefit psychologically to those in need.

If prayer were asking a tempermental genie for a wish, everybody would be asking for everything just to see what they could get. But prayer is more for us and the relationship that it puts us into with God and other people.

Very week proof. You are attempting to place your interpretation upon an even which is driven purely by chance. I could perform the same experiment and then pray to Barney the Dinosaur and get the same result. Please tell me that you do not plan to work within the scientific community.

I thought the same thing, but I trusted and had faith, and looking back at my life I see how God worked in my life, and its awesome, read the book of Job and then read about Jacob, they reveal your question, God knows you have that question.

God probably took one look at those 'prayers' and muttered to himself, "I don't have time for this crap." and turned his attention to more important things.
