Im a freshman at UIC, and I am not at all pleased with UIC...are there any other schools in Chicago that are better, yet have the same qualifications...i had a 3.5 high school GPA and I got a 22 on my ACT...but I am doing pretty well with my classes at UIC...any suggestions of other schools?

I have become disgusted with the music scene these days..I mean with crap like "girfriend", "lipgloss", "soulja boy", "he said she said", "stars are blind" and other completely shallow songs..millions of them I'm sure..I have to wonder is the music industry going to hell? Haa I wonder...

Why do people like stuff like this? Especially Soulja Boy..if I hear that B.S. one more time I might lose it...

Can someone "enlighten" me?

In different times of my life it always seems like I can relate it to different songs. Lately Nobody Home by Pink Floyd has been my life in a nutshell. Other music that I would describe my other times in life would be songs like The Weight by The Band, That's The Way and The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin, Let It Be by the Beatles, I Wanna Be Sedated by the Ramones and After The Goldrush by Neil Young. There are tons more but it would take hours to remember...

Why have different currencies when its not one for one. One dollar for one peso etc etc. In the poorer countries they just pay them more to bring the workers up to the same level.
5000 pesos an hour etc etc. So whats the point of one money being worth more???

I feel bad. When I had gotten my horse, he didn't have a problem with the girth and I used to tighten it fast, and I think I may I pinched him and now he flattens his ears and fidgets. I bring it up slowly, but I feel horrible that I may have caused this. Once I pick up the girth and just bring it up to put it on the holes, he flattens his ears. Could I message his girth area before? Would petting his neck and a soothing voice cure it (if I stop and talk and pet him, his ears go forward, but if reach for the girth again, he flattens). Would a treat help if he doesn't flatten his ears? I really want to get him back to normal. The lesson horse I used to ride never had a problem, and no one told me to bring it up slowly until a few months after purchasing this horse. Please help! I don't want him soured forever!

i need serious answers! Ok this has now happened to me twice now in fact it is still right now. Heres what happens I'm overcome with extreme sleepiness and can't stay awake no matter what. So I stager into bed to awaken about a hour later because my heart is pounding my legs and arms feel like they need to flail around like a fish out pf water my bodys on fire but i'm freezeing cold. nothing works unless i take one of my sleeping pills which very seldom take. I take viccoioprofren every now and again for chroic pain but each time this has happened to me i was not taking any meds all day. does anybody have a clue what this is? And no i'm not on drugs i'm healthy as far as I know except for my back problems

For 2 years, I have been renovating my house. My 8 year old daughter & I were not living in this house during the work. We moved back in the week school started in August. Ever since my child was 3, she's been friends with this little girl, who was being raised by her grandparents (who are very respected members of this community & a really great couple, too), while the child's mother was in drug rehab. While we weren't living in our house, the "mother's" parents bought the house directly across the street from me for their daughter & grandchild. When their daughter got out of rehab, she & her daughter moved in. When I 1st met the mother, she let something slip. She said something to the effect that "oh right, I still have to work on my man problem". She immediately allowed a guy to move in with her & has had a steady stream of boyfriends do the same, since. This latest one is the most scary. I don't have the space to continue my question. Will have 2 begin new thread

I was fortunate enough to have been able to have spent my summers in Paris at my family's summer home while I was growing up. However, my brother was always intent on taking part in "volunteer" work and mostly stayed around our winter home in New York year round.

Frankly, his lack of travel and seeing the world has very much limited his view on relationships, and the type of girl to enter a "life" partnership with. My fiancée Megan (pronounced Mee-Gun) is a fantastic intellect. She is a partner at her floral shop and speaks three different languages. Every day is a learning experience with this beautiful flower of a woman. We travel to Paris and talk about paintings at the Louvre.

My brother is married to some dame who works at Subway. My goodness, she is not even interested in what is going on in the world today. Her idea of a good time is a hot dog and good seats at the races. She calls my brother Robert "Bob", which to me is a verb and NOT a proper name. She drinks BEER.

See...me and my husband want a pit bull puppy like newborn and our daughter will be born this month..we want a pit bull when she's about 4 months....my mom said that there dangerous to be around a baby....What do you think??? Should I Listen to my mom or just get a pit bull when my daughter is 4 months....my dad said i should get a pit bull my little brother was raised around one and nothing happened to him...HELP ME!!!!
