I have become disgusted with the music scene these days..I mean with crap like "girfriend", "lipgloss", "soulja boy", "he said she said", "stars are blind" and other completely shallow songs..millions of them I'm sure..I have to wonder is the music industry going to hell? Haa I wonder...
Why do people like stuff like this? Especially Soulja Boy..if I hear that B.S. one more time I might lose it...
Can someone "enlighten" me?

Another thing .
I'm not just talking about Hip hop, rap, and r and b. I'm talking about Pop, Rock, and basically ever mainstream genre out there. Songs are shallow as hell now.
And as a comment to something another user said..
I listen to one station that used to play good music..now it's merging with b.s. and I can't stand it. And I kind of don't have a choice when my inconsiderate neighbors' kids are playing that bull as loud as they can like other people want to hear it.
I love music...I breathe music..I adore singing and composing..and maybe that's why I hate the fact that music sucks so badly now. If it weren't for the Alica Keys, Snow Patrols, and Vanessa Carltons of the world, I might believe that the radio wasn't worth turning on anymore.
Another thing that strikes me as weird..is how people expect me to like Soulja Boy and whatnot just because I happen to be black..

First of all, I recognise I'm no longer a man however I'm gonna reply anyhow. It fairly is dependent upon the style of man. But yeah plenty of men like blameless women, and a few like dumb women who faux the have a mind of a five 12 months historical. But such a lot men don't seem to be by and large drawn to the style of woman who "pretends" to be dumb and blameless for an exact dating considering I might realize that they might comfortably get uninterested in that variety of woman considering she acts like she does not recognise whatever. And the men ur speaking approximately quite often handiest deliver her that variety of awareness whilst she's round becuz they recognise they may be able to comfortably use her after which sell off her. Sooo yeah

because they listen to crappy music. idk. I will admit that i DO like crank dat and stronger. But that is pretty much the only hip hop music i listen to, except for the occaisonal REAL rapper, like Dr Dre. But that lipgloss song is the stupidest, most pointless, thoughtless, idiotic song i have EVER heard. Same with a lot of this r&b and hip hop. Same with I Got It From My Mama, Gimme More, Hot and My Humps. They're so degrading to human intelligence. I also hate idiots who seem to think avril lavigne and sky sweetnam are "punk".
btw: people expect you to like soulja boy cuz your black??????????? That's kinda fuked up. Excuse my language.

These so called "crappy" songs are very catchy. Hello! "My lip gloss is poppin, my lip gloss is cool." "Hey, hey you you i dont like your girlfriend!"
I am not quite sure about "stars are blind" and "he said she said"
Anywayz, everyone is free to speak their mind. Maybe, just maybe these songs have a message. Well most of them, I don't like your girlfriend and she dont like me so get a new one.
My lip gloss is cool so all the boys love me.
The musis scene is not going to hell, it is just that these tunes are catchy and the young people enjoy it. Hey, you cannot control what gets played and what does not. Besides, the more people that listen to the music, the more money they make. One more thing. Nobody told you to listen to the music. Just change the radio station or listen to ifferent music. There is a great big "duh"

Music entertainment these days if you make one good hit your set for life. Ask yourself if you could make some B.S. Song that became popular would you complain?

Because those songs are popular so they mold themselves into whatever is popular.

yeah...
well i personally know what you are talking about...
i live in oak cliff...
naturally theres a billion of those songs that play all through out here..
and i hate them...i used to like rap...
but it got soo meaningless...soo shallow...sooo one dimensional... soo now i love rock!!
oh yeah!
lol but no umm i guess some people just listen to them for the catchy beats...
but even the beats are getting repetitive...and some of them like for instance well at least in my neighborhood...the wanna be gangtsters listen to them because they think there all that...
but they themselves are shallow...
sooo i dont know how i helped you answered your question...i guess i just gave you another insight on it..
