I wish I could tell you the secret for making this time in your life a lot easier, but sadly, I have to tell you the truth: there IS no secret. If you were not a normal teenager, you wouldn't be going through this. 99.99% of the rest of us have been there; trust me on this.
Now, here's the really good news: this is the perfect time for you to lay the ground work for the person you WANT to look like, the guy you WANT to be. And begging everyone else's pardon, don't fall for that "eat better and exercise more" crap. This is never a "one size fits all" situation, and that's all that saying does - put you in a neat little box you're supposed to be happy in. If eating right and working out more was all it took, then why wouldn't EVERYBODY be doing it? And why wouldn't it work for everybody?
One of the best websites I know of to help you get started is BODYBUILDING.COM. Now you'd think this would be a site strictly for gym rats and muscle heads, but hear me out. Even if all you want to do is just get toned, fill out a little bit and look better, there are articles, diagrams, exercises, training regimens, everything you'll need to help you come up with a SPECIFIC plan to help you out.
Read what's there. Look at some of the stories of guys like you who lost (or in your case GAINED) weight to get into fantastic shape. Whatever you decide to do, come up with a plan. Because "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
You're fourteen. In just five more short years, Mother Nature is going to be giving you some help with the way you look and feel right now. But you don't just have to sit around and wait for it to happen. You can give things a little "boost" by doing some basic work yourself. You won't believe how far you've come by the time you hit your late teens.
The thing is, though...START NOW. And ignore whatever the nitwits are saying about you and to you now...THEY aren't living your life for you. Only YOU can do that.

It's a general rule that if you work out, your endorphins increase, and you are generally happier.
Also, I thought I would let you know that I was extremely self conscious from age 13 until age 18, when I suddenly didn't seem to care anymore. I was also very eating disordered, but I overcame most of it.
The age you are at now can be HELL. My teen years were the absolute WORST I have every experienced, emotionally. Know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, hon.

Go to google images and find a picture of a baby eagle.
That is you now. Lanky.
Now find a picture of an adult eagle! Majestic!
That is you in 5 years.
In the meantime, eat right, workout, concentrate on your schoolwork, get good grades, and accept but ignore comments from others.
I know that it does not seems possible to you now, but since you are tall you will have people standing in line to date you sooner than you think.
Good Luck!
