A Brief Introduction to China
China is a quaint nation, unlike the US. Its way of life, social codes, and ways of living differ somewhat from America. So, when Americans describe China and things Chinese, somehow their description comes out much different from Chinese records . . . even for the best of historians!
China has always been governed by dynasties. Democracy was non-existent and foreign to China.
So, we must look at the Imperial system through Chinese eyes and discard all American ideas and thinking, if we want to understand China.
1. During the period 1610 to 1620 marriage arrangements were made between the Ming Dynasty Chun clan and the Chou Dynasty Chow clan to strengthen the empire.
2. When the empire fell to the Manchurian invasion from the north, China's court got together and decided to install CHOU Shun Cheong as China's official and Han-Chinese emperor to preserve and maintain China's mandate.
