I am a new mommy! Yippee! My daughter is going on 6 weeks old and she has reflux. I think we finally found a formula that will work for her (yes, before anyone attacks me, I know breastfeeding is best, and I did it for a month but had one setback after another) but I'm always looking for ways to make my little girl more comfortable. I am sure to sit her up while feeding, and I hold her upright for about half hour after she eats (our cuddle time) but is there anything else that may help? She's currently on baby zantac but honestly I don't know that it's doing much. She only seems to have tummy discomfort in the evenings, otherwise as they say it's more a laundry issue than anything else. Thank you!

calories ..

What about working out? Is there a limit to how much I can work out before it starts affecting the baby's food? Can I do advanced taebo or is that too extreme?

If I CAN do advanced taebo, is it too soon to start? ( i gave birth 12 days ago)

Appreciate responses from mothers in similar position.

I am about 50 pounds overweight.

Dr. Dimwit, can you give a
little something for my ale
a tiny lift of this or that for
I am feeling mighty frail

Dr. Dimwit, are you listening?
Should I call 911?
Just a shot is all I ask, a pill?
a dose? I’m so hum drum

Dr. Dimwit look my way!
I haven’t got all frappin’ day!
Today’s the day I have to face
and for my son be truly brave

Dr’. Dimwit do you expect me to
hold my head up high
while my baby boy has surgery?
I don’t want to cry!

Dr. Dimwit you’re fool,
a heartless moronic little boob!
To sit and watch a mother break,
to give her nothing for her ale

Dr. Dimwit, sir, I swear,
if he’s not in the best care
I will shoot you up and lay you out
and take your heart! Sound fair?

Oh, what’s that Dr. Dimwit?
Oh, your hearing aid’s turned down?
No, well I was asking for
a little “help me out?”

“*Here’s a little sedative
Mrs. Brown, are you alright?
Your son Ty’s in recovery,
his surgery went fine*”

I was given a practice exam question that i am having a bit of trouble figuring out..if anyone could help that would be great!!

Jordon is a 2 year old boy with a history of recurrent infections. At the age of 4 weeks, he developed an axillary abscess, which healed spontaneously, followed by a staphylococcal abscess of the chest wall, requiring surgical incision and a course of flucloxacillin. At the age of 7 months he was readmitted to hospital with large staphylococcal abscesses, first on his face and then on his right buttock, both were treated by surgical incision and systemic antibiotics for 10 days. In his 2 years of life he has been admitted to hospital five times with staphylococcal abscesses. His parents and older sister have no history of recurrent infections, however, his mother had a brother who died in infancy of 'some kind of bug'

Identify the disease

- I am thinking that it could be toxic shock syndrome, but i am not really sure...any help would be great!!

I recently started worrying a lot about carbs. And because of it, I don’t eat as much as I need to. I know carbs are good for you, if they are in healthy foods, but like eating rice or pita bread, it has lots of carbs, even though it’s healthy foods…
Is it okay? Should I really be worrying over it?
I’m still a teenager BTW…>.> And I’m not over weight by any means..

I don't know what to think of it! I'll freak out if one day she brings home a thong. Is this normal for girls to do this?

I have no experience with cats, but the mom has become very affectionate with me over the last 4 months. She is very skiddish, but trusts me with kittens. She is a wonderful mom and taking very good care of kittens. She has taken to the box I put the kittens in for her and will take them back there if I take them out. They were born 2 weeks ago. I could use any advise about cats and kittens. Never had a cat before but am a dog lover from way back. Please help!

I currently work in my local store sorting out the papers and magazines in the morning. But I want to have extra hours, so I want to work behind the till, but the boss says that I cant because of the 'New' ciggarette law.

Because the new law in Wales is that you have to be 18 to buy ciggarettes, but you can still smoke at 16, he cant give me work. I spoke to someone else who works up there and he said that you can still serve them to people, even if you are under 18.

I just want to know what the 'real' situation is with all this.
Please help me, thanks.

I caught my son (senior in high school) smoking weed. It was late last night - I told him to go to bed because he has school - and we will talk about it after school.

What should I say/do?

Option 1)
Ground him - but I'm pretty sure he'll rebel and do it again later. I really don't like this option - because I remember when I was a kid - I'd do it 10 time as much to get back at my parents.

Option 2)
Control as much of the situation as I can (Ie: no driving, etc). He gets good grades and has a parttime job - so he is not a failure and not lazy. So I'm thinking that 1) I do not let him drive except to work and school and 2) Tell him he can do what he wants UNLESS his grades drop.

I smoked a little when I was young - and still went to college and got a degree and a good job. Thankfully stopped smoking - as I expect he will too. Being high just made me paranoid, self conscious, hungry and horny - still don't understand the lure - it's not a good state to be in!

I have spoken to a counselor about the issue of finding a mate, and he asked about the reason I want one and what we would do. So I explained about going places together, communicating, eating together, doing things together, being good companions, if the desire comes (to make love) and just being there for each other sharing similar interests.
He said you don't need a wife, you can get all of those things from a friend. So stop looking for a mate. Do you agree with him?

We are getting a kitten tomorrow and have been dealing with a roach problem in our new apartment for a couple of weeks now. All of the research I have done seems to say these products aren't harmful to pets, but I just want to make sure. I have Boric Acid spinkled along the edge of the kitchen and bathroom, roach houses scattered around in corners and Combat roach gel in "high traffic" areas for the roaches. Are any of these things harmful to cats? Has anyone used these products with pets in the home?

I've noticed something odd. In every other sport (hockey, baseball, American football, rugby, etc.), when a member of the team scores a goal, he is immediately congratulated by his team mates, and the scorer actually moves TOWARDS his team mates to recieve their congratulations.

I never see that in soccer (aka football). Whenever a guy scores a goal, he immediately runs AWAY from his team mates. In fact, if they're close to him, and try to congratulate him he will actually shove them away, almost as if to say, "Get the f**k away from me... I scored, not you."

Why is that?
