I steam cleaned my carpets 2 days ago, and they still have some spots that aren't completely dry...it's been raining here, and very warm and humid, so I guess that's why. But now they're starting to smell bad...kind of a damp, musty smell. How can I get rid of this odor???? You can smell it through the whole house!!!

The evidence for a creator is everywhere. Just look all around you. How do you think we got here? Through chance?

Life is far too improbable to come about by chance. Look at how complex life is. How can a brain form from nothing? You wouldn't expect a computer to just form.

This is why I believe in Jesus and the Bible. He is my savior. I was a sinner, but He washed away my sins and He will make me clean for Heaven.

I hope I have at the very least given doubters something to think about.

I have been married to my husband for 18 years. He has let me stay home with the kids for most of this time. He is loyal and honest and has a decent job. The one fault he has is he is jealous of other men. He has visited me at the few jobs I have worked at and, unfortunately, he walked in during the times when other men have been close to me. One of those times my coworker was really close. I also made the mistake of telling him about the three other men at another job inviting me to bed with them. I am a very friendly person and, I’ll admit, I like the attention. He does have bad timing when it comes to going to the gym with me too. One of those times he watched a man follow me into the darkened room to talk to me. He also caught me trying to get a hold of my old boyfriend (he caught us having sex two weeks before we got married). I still attract the men and he seems to get more and more jealous. Is he normal????? Or just insecure????

Guess what, I'm not enticed. That stupid crap doesn't work on me. I've played for 5 years within my means never letting it go overboard and since it hasn't happened for me yet, I never expect to hit on any one visit like the casinos want me to think I will.

All these idiot casino employees and cocktail waitresses keep telling me that tonight could be my night and the waitresses say "Good Luck." before I say "Whatever." in my reply to them. I only keep playing because I know my likeihood of hitting keeps growing the longer I play and still not hit. I know it will happen if I keep at it, but never expect it on any one session.


At least at those strip clubs I sometimes go to, at least there unlike those casinos, I'm getting my money's worth.

I am a permanent resident in the US and will be eligible to apply for citizen ship in 2 years. Before, I was told by my lawyer that it is required for US permanent residents to stay in the country for a certain amount of time per year.
I am now interested in transferring to University of British Columbia Vancouver next year and I am wondering if I transfer there on a Student Visa will that effect my Citizen ship in the US?

I have a 2001 ford focus , standard transmission..
The dashboard will turn on but the engine wont run... no sound or anything.... me and my dad moved the car and he got in and did a trick and it did start that way.. So my question is... is the battery in need of a jump.. or is it the starter? i repeat there is no noise of any kind when trying to start it up... but the dashboard does light up everything. Thanks

there is this girl i met while working at my old summer job a year and half ago. i never thought we would talk outside of work. We have hunged out, we have gone to parties. we have watched movies alone, she came to my soccer games. she gets upset if we cannot hang out or somethin comes up when if she cannot hang out with me. Last year she came to my formal as my date. she had a lot of fun. she is in college herself. she always takes off of work whenever i come up to visit her, and after work she will hang out with me while im there. she was pissed this summer that we didnt get a chance to hang out a lot like she wanted us to. whenever she is upset or has a problem she would call me. we talk whenever were on aim all the time. we both have recently talked about startin to date. Is there a religion whose main precept is sincerity and complete sincerity?

I was going to invent it and call it Nakedism, but I dunno bout that. There's probably already an existing religion that teaches what I believe in.

I believe that truth = freedom. And that complete sincerity is the closest thing we humans can do to be truthful.

I've been dating separated older man for 7mths. They were married for 15yrs & have no kids. He's living in a condo while they're deciding what to do w/ their house, but his stuff & his dogs are still at their house w/ her. In the beginning he told me they both wanted divorce & it had been over for a long time b/t them. He said he doesn't consider himself married but separated pending divorce. I didn't feel guilty at 1st b/c I thought it was a mutual decision b/t them & we fell in love w/ each other. Now he says what is taking so long to file for divorce is that she changed her mind & doesn't want it. I feel so guilty & I've tried to break up w/ him but he says: how can I abandon him now when he's almost divorced, why can't I wait another week or two? I believe he really loves me but I want to wait until his situation is really over & I feel like a horrible person for getting involved. I work w/ him & have to see him a lot & he calls me constantly when I try to break it off & he cries.

My dog has two terrible hot spots. She's had them for about 6-7 months. I know that's not good. I've been trying to help them heal with almost everything. From neosporin, hydrogen peroxide, Bag Balm, cortisone (SP) cream, to aloe. I've bangaged it up with all of those (if I don't, she'll just lick the stuff off). The hot spots are on her tail. And the last time I put a bandage on her, she chewed ANOTHER hot spot just above the first one (now she has two)! I don't know what do do. It bothers me that I can't help her. My parents "can't" (more like: don't want to waste money) take her to the vet. I want to be a vet when I get out of school. But she hasn't been to the vet in a few years (I know, I know....that's not good). But My mom promised me that we could take her this year....but so far that promise has turned into a lie....What can I do??? I care a lot about my dog, and don't want anything to happen to her. PLEASE HELP!!!

For the following problem, we are asked to find dy/dx, [d^2 * y] / [d * x^2], and to state for which values of t is the curve concave upward.


1. x = t^3 -12t, y = t^2 – 1

(the first equation reads as x equals t cubed minus 12t; the second equation reads as y equals t squared minus 1).

For this problem I got:

2t / [3t^2 – 12] for dy/dx;

[-6t^2 – 24] / [(3t^2 – 12)^3] for [d^2 * y] / [d * x^2];

after setting [d^2 * y] / [d * x^2] equal to 0 I had:

6t^2 + 24 = 0, and thus t^2 = -4;

Assuming I did all of this right so far, does this mean that the function does not concave upward anywhere because the square root of negative 4 is a non-real answer, or does is still concave up somewhere? Please explain which is the case and why, and if I did something wrong earlier in the problem (i.e. an algebraic error somewhere), please explain how to do the problem step-by-step.
