Tens of thousands of fake documents were sold along Roosevelt Avenue for years by two criminal organizations, authorities said Tuesday. Two major identity theft "mills" were shut down as a result of the raids.Forty-one people were arrested on charges they sold fake social security cards, driver’s licenses and other documents often used in identity-theft scams. Some of those arrested are gang members, police said. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown displayed hundreds of fake documents as well as the computers used to make them at his morning press conference.

"These documents allow individuals to live, work, operate motor vehicles, open lines of credit and even obtain government benefits - under assumed names or by using identity of others," Brown said.

Federal Secret Service agents joined the NYPD and State Police in helping take down the operation. Among the alleged ringleaders, a husband and wife team from Los Angeles who, police said, provided the raw materials to help make the fake documents.

Police said some gang members in Jackson Heights helped produce and sell the fake cards at $50 each. Police said money raised was used to support other gang activities.

Prosecutors said the document rings consist of a boss, a cutter, runners and street sellers. Sellers get photos and information from customers and pass it on to runners who go to "the mill" to have the needed fake document made.

Among those charged, Edgar Cardenas of 95th Street in Queens. Prosecutors said he headed one of the major rings.

Other high-ranking suspects named include Lauro Benitez, Geraldo Lima and Miguel Ramirez Rivera.

Investigators said as they pore through seized documents, they would notify the Federal Trade Commission if they find victims whose identities and personal information had been stolen.

Officials have also notified the Joint Terrorism Task Force to try to make sure none of the fake documents were being used for terror-related matters.

Officials stressed there is no link to terrorism at this time.

Authorities said the overall investigation continues and they expect to make additional arrests.

I recently received my AA degree and transferred to a university. I am 21 and I'm finally on my own. I decided not to work this semester to allow myself to become adjusted. I don't party during the week, only once on the weekend. I totally failed my first two tests in my two business courses. The drop date already passed and I have no idea what to do!? I've never done this bad before, and I don't want to fail the entire semester my GPA will be off to a really bad start. Is there any special tricks, or advice anyone can give me so that I can do better? These exams are so much harder then community college and I feel completely lost and discouraged! Please help!??!?

im sure we all grew up or are still today familiar with those DUNKIN HINES Cake mixes...they come in all kinds of different cake flavors to bake..My favorite still today is the chocolate marble mix....hey all you gotta do is add eggs and some oil and the mix and whalla you got yourself a pretty darn good tasting cake..WHAT is your FAVORITE cake mix flavor and do you still buy them and bake them today????

seriously, this dream scared me. i dreamt i was driving and braked abruptly when a black cat was crossing the street but the cat stopped midway. so i get out of the car and motioned the cat with my fingers to cross and the cat bit my fingers off and had them in his mouth. i screamed. i actually felt the bite for real. not only did i scream in the dream but also for real and woke up. i knew i was screaming out loud because someone else heard me. does this dream mean anything? the significance of the black cat? the significance of the fingers bitten off? OUCH!

I can breathe but I feel like my neck is swollen, even though it's . My neck really hurts, when it really hurts, my neck feels numb to be turned. What's wrong? I had this symptoms a week ago and it was gone yesterday, now it showed up again. Please help, what can I do to make it go away?

I got a $50 fine for fare evasion on the Buffalo Metro. On the ticket, the officer wrote the wrong location down (which I can prove), and the wrong SSN. This is also the first time I have been cited for it. I have a hearing set for Tuesday, and have a few questions:
First, is the information I have above enough to get out of the fine?
Second, if the officer does not show up, do I automatically get off?
Third, will this offense go on a criminal record? And would I be able to get it expunged somehow?

WELL i don't really have *stuff* on my skin, it is more like a small piece/flap of skin that sticks out, Just like a toe sticks out of your foot!! but on like a 1/50th scale size, like 2/4 of a cm id say, I was going to attempt tearing it but i decided not to because it is pretty much one with my skin, it is just like a lump of skin sticking out and i know it would hurt REALLY BAD if I tore and it would bleed a LOT, also just a side note, i am a male and it is right next to my genitals. I am just asking here because i might save a trip to the doc to get something removed ya know?

I have three questions regarding W4 Forms.

1. If you want to have less money withheld, should you claim more or less exemptions?

2. My understanding has been that if you want to have less money withheld, you should claim as many exemptions as you can. However, my son is filling out a W4 for the first time, and he is not eligible for any exemptions. Does this mean that the government will be taking out the maximum amount of money from his check?

3. Is he exempt from withholding anyway, if he is under 18 and is a dependent of someone else? Or does it depend on how much money he will make? He will only be working a part-time job after school.

it's a suzuki 1983 gs 450, look like she want to start but doesn't, the engine crank but that is all. the sparks, battery and coils are new. I put a fews drops of gasoline into the sparks plugs but still doesn't work, when I check the sparks they are clean and dry.
somebody help me here please any ideas. thanks guys

Right now there is a certain subject that is really starting to fasinate me. This is living beyond the age of 130 or higher. The biggest this that fasinates me is the possibly second(for males) or third(for females) puberty state. Maybe we grow two more sets of arms? Maybe our brains shed and we take all minerals and vitimins to enhance our brain and become super intelligent. What if we go through this certain stage and go through a metamorphsis? Would we still be considered human beings?

My cat has been going in the bathtub and drinking the water near the drain. He always meows and its annoying me. Usually I turn the faucet on so he will shut up. Can he get sick or possibly die from drinking the water in the bathtub? Hes been doing it for like 4 months.

Is this emotional cheating

I was on a course with my husband
along with 50 other people. on the first day of the course I got very emotional and cried, as I had just had a stroke five weeks before. my husband would not cuddle me or talk to me. he only came to me when he was asked to by the tutor. when we got out of the class he left me to go and watch a movie with some other people. then the next day my husband sat next to this woman at lunch, and she was rubbing her hand up and down his leg , under the table. I could see this, so he got up and left the table.
only to go over to another woman and give her a cuddle as she was unhappy. I did not like the way he was acting, so we talk about it whole night and he told me that he would keep away from this woman ( rubbing his leg one) The next day I told him I wouldn't be going into class. But I did go and found him sitting with her again. I left and later asked him why he was with her again. but he lied and said that he wasn't. after I told him I sore them together he still lied. but after that he cried and said that wanted to prove to her that she couldn't intimidate him!
but when I talk about it he shouts at me, tells me that he was not being unfaithful, then cries and hits himself and blames me
for not going into the class with him that day.
