A SPANISH Teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.' 'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.' A student asked, 'What gender is 'computer'?' Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether computer' should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it. (THIS GETS BETTER!)



The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ('el computador'), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

I have a 8 and 1/2 month baby girl and her back left jaw tooth is comming in. She's had her bottom two front teeth since she was 4 months old and she's finally getting her third one. I've checked with her doctor and he said that it was fine to give her motrin i just forgot to ask how much to give her and when i went out and bought it tonight i forgot that i didn't know how much to give her. She was taking infant's tylenol but that wasn't working and my mom told me that she always gave me motrin. So how much should I give her?? She's 8 and 1/2 months 18 and 1/2 pounds and she is 29 and 1/2 inches long!!! Please help me!?!?!?!?!

My dad died 6 years ago, when I was 10. I feel like I should be more over it, but I don't have anyone I could really talk to. I don't want to talk to my mom or my step dad because they don't get it, I've been to a therapist before, and that didn't work. All of my friends still have their parents. I just don't know what to do to fully move on.

Im always at my friends' houses to hangout. But when I ask my mom if I can have people over too, she never lets me; she hates it. Ive never done anything that would make her not trust me, especially in my home. This year, for my friends' bdays, we want to go out &then sleepover someone's house for each bday. (there's 9 of us, we wanted a different house for each night.) My mom probably wont even let me do that. I know i probably sound like a brat but I feel bad if i'm the only person who can't have it at their house, plus i always feel guilty when we go over the same people's houses b/c i'm never allowed to have people at my own. It comes to the point where I don't even want to go to sleepover my friends anymore just because I feel bad since we will never go to mine. What do I say to mom to help with this situation, and what do i even say to my friends? I don't want to say I can't have it just because my mom said so, and thats exactly what she says w/o any good reason. Help! :(

my SIS has yet to pay on the cellphone bill for year number three now lol
