Hmmm... Perhaps your sis and my ex-boyfriend should get together - lol. I paid for his cell (attached to my account like your sis's) for a couple of years, which when added up together was probably over $2000. Like you, I suspended the account (while he was still a boyfriend). Boy was he mad! I just told him if he wanted the phone back on, he could start making payments - he didn't, so I guess he didn't want it that badly.
But wait - I was still more stupid, and lent him more - after he was my ex, he borrowed a total of about $500 more over time. Until I was pregnant, I gave it freely, knowing I'd never see it again (but still secretly hoping). The last $200, after I learned I was pregnant, I flat out told him if he didn't repay in eight months (before my son was born) I'd consider it stealing from a baby. He didn't, but at least I don't hear from him anymore! (:
I *have* had friends pay back small amounts I've loaned them - but between the ex-boyfriend and an ex-roommate (female) I've learned not to get burnt. It might take me a while, but I *do* learn the lesson. (:

I would hate to meet some of your Enemy's if these are your Friends... lol
A few Years back I was the one doing most the Lending, but not for a long amount of time & always paid back in full
The most I've Ient out was about £450, which I recieved the full amount back a few Months down the Road, but I have a few outstanding Money owed me, but I'm confident I'll recieve the Money back as always
In times of crisis if you can't turn to your Friends & Family, who can you turn to?

$1,500 to my best friend of a very long time was the most, I think. She was going through a bit of a rough patch and I helped her out. I don't regret it in the least. She worked hard and eventually paid me back even though she didn't need to. She'd done so much for me so I decided that I ought to help her out. At first she declined the money many times but I asked her to take it. She's such a great person.

i have lent my brother over $3000 over the past couple of years with the 'understanding' that it was just a loan still haven't seen a cent in return.especially now when i could actually use it.
I have loaned one friend around $500 and got about $100 back and another friend I cosigned on a car loan plus paid her down payment and she let the car get repoed.Live and learn

the most i've ever lent a friend was like $20. thats pretty much the most anyone's ever asked me for but i dont think i'd lend anyone except my family $1500....or even over $50. cuz the money i have lent to my friends never got paid back. its not that big a deal cuz it wasnt THAT much but you do think about it. but i've never said anything.

Damn...I thought I was bad in lending so-called friends money. The most I lent was $200, which I never saw again either.
