You should consult a Pharmacist or a doctor. Don,t gamble your baby health and well being. You should be looking for the side effects of motrin first .

you look at the package it came in and usually tells by either their weight or their age , if gives you dosing instructions by both then i usually go by their weight .. if your still not completly sure or want more info call her Dr or even Ask a Nurse can give you that type of info .. also my Dr told me you can give a baby both tylenol and motrin ( when a fever is present ).. tylenol will wear off in 4 to 6 hrs where the motrin stays in their system for 6 to 8 .. I usually do this at night time so i dont have to wake my child up to give them more meds ..
Dosing directions for motrin are 12 to 17 lbs or 6 to 11 months 1.25 mL and 18 - 23lbs or 12 - 23 months 1.875 mL , i think i would go by her weight :) Good Luck i hope she starts feeling better ..

Closely read the label if it says chilrens motrin or infant motrin. Childrens vs infants are often different concentrations. As the other posters said, read the package carefully. If it says not for children under 2, use the tylenol until you can talk further with a doc or pharmacist..

When it comes to medications, you should ALWAYS check with your pediatrician before giving your infant ANY over the counter medicine. With that said, this is the dosage that my children were given at that age/weight.... Infant's Motrin 1.25mL. Make sure you are giving Infant's motrin and not children's motrin..Different dosages there, the infants is concentrated. Here are 2 sites where you can find dosages out if you are in a pinch...

My doctor not to give Motrin until the baby is at least 2 years old...but if your Dr said, then okay.
Call the Dr's office or the pharmacy if the label doesn't help.

Here is a dosing chart from Dr. Sears. If in doubt, just call the pharmacy and ask them...they will tell you the correct amount!

We can't answer this for you because we don't know what you bought - the bottles come with doses of many sizes.
Call your doctor and ask.
Your mom can probably figure the dose out for you.
Length is irrelevant.

There are dosage instructions on the packaging...even on the bottle. If you're not sure, call the pharmacy where you bought it.
