It was prophesied that he would be buried in a rich man's tomb.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
( Isaiah 53 )
God also said:
Psalm 16
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
And that is another prophecy fulfilled.
So no, they did not drag his body to a common tomb, but was laid in an unused rich man's tomb. It was guarded by soldiers in case the disciples tried to steal the body at the behest of the Priests.
Jesus rose from the dead, and that's the only way to explain this logically. All other avenues of investigation have been brought up and exhausted.
Jesus came out of that tomb - resurrected.

Well, none of the above.
Jesus' body was removed from the cross after he died, and he was placed in a new tomb. The tomb was covered with a large stone and Roman soldiers were left to guard it/
It was to lay in the tomb for a year, the removed and the bones put in a box and then buried.
BUT when the women came to properly prepare the body (they were unable to do so before he was placed in the tomb due to Sabbath) they found the stone rolled away, and the body gone with nothing but the death rags left behind.

There's a group of people that think he survived the crucifixion and traveled to India (where there's good reason to believe he went to during the years he disappeared from the Bible). They've even got the tomb of St. Issa in Kashmir, complete with his "footprints" (a common practice for a long time in Buddhism was that they carved footprints of holy people instead of building statues so that the person wouldn't be worshiped, but their teachings) that have markings as if they were permanently scarred.

Jesus knew the pain of death on the cross, but he did not expect his disciples to understand its significance immediately. He understood their guilt and confusion and that they would soon see his purpose more clearly. In the last chapter of Luke 1 found peace. Jesus' disciples must have felt a mixture of emotions after the crucifixion, relief that their belief had not cost them their lives and guilt that they had scattered in fear while their Lord was dying the worst of deaths.

The next of kin claims the body. This was Joseph of Arimethea. He was Jesus' great uncle, an uncle to Mary. He took the body to the tomb where Jesus was wrapped in a shroud, and laid to rest for 3 days, and arose on that 3rd day.

It's not buried.
Jesus beat the grave. He's alive!
Now, people will die for what they believe is true or right. They will not die for a lie. The only apostle that didn't die a martyr was John.
Hope that helps.
