I'm probably cynical, but my trust in CNN, FOX News, and most of the media is rapidly declining. They all seem to be swayed by politics, or by someone paying them to "push" their products as "news". Can regular citizens see for themselves what comes over the "wire?"

Ok, so my friend recently started dating this guy a few days ago, and the thing is that I really like, but she didn't (still doesn't) know about my feelings for him.

Well, today I was sitting with them at lunch and just hanging out, when all of a sudden he just looks up right into my eyes and just stares at them. Of course, I'm embarrassed, but I maintian eye-contact for about a heartbeat before he says, "You know, you have really pretty eyes." And, he just smiles and keeps looking into my eyes with his beautiful green/blue ones. I was so embarrassed, I looked down, but when I looked back at hime a second later, he was still smiling and looking at me.

I was overjoyed that he noticed me, but I feel horrible that my friend was sitting right there when he said it. But, I just really don't want to hurt her. This girl is one of my true friends, and I have very few of those these days. So, is this an example of hos before bros? It's just better to be friends right now, right?

A coworker just got a flu shot and we sit inches from on another. She wasn't feeling well the day after and I know that when one gets the flu shot it is actually a flu strain. So is it possible for me to have gotten it. I am weak, have a fever and ache all over.

Why is it when they call and someone aswers and says "hello?" it takes them 5 to 10 seconds to respond? Are they tactfully trying to reach the person of interest by Voice recongnition or is it a delay or what? Whats the deal? I answer alot of calls at the front desk where I work and find it annoying when I'm busy, to have to wait up to 10 seconds for the person calling to say "Hello, can I speak to so-and-so..." To tell you the truth, It only takes 1 second for an intelligent human being to respond when someone says hello. It Frickin Kills Me!!!!!

I am not sure what is appropriate, I am seperated from my kids dad, who is a jealous guy, and still kinda of bitter about the seperation. we currently live in different cities.
I plan to take my kids to visit him, and the entire family. But I am planning on taking my new boyfriend with me for the drive, it is an 8 hour drive.
So when I get there, would it be rude to leave my boyfriend at the hotel, when I take the kids to their dad's house ? I was planning on dropping the kids off, but I still was going to sit down, and speak with everyone for a few minutes. I dont want things to get ugly, but I dont want to be rude either, what do you suggest ?? Guys I would love to hear from you...

We used to like each other a lot until - (well, long story short)... we don't talk as much anymore. But in class, whenever I answer a question, he turns all the way around to look at me. Also, I always see him staring at me during lunch. He's not some random guy I think is cute. We have been on the phone many times before this + before we "Stopped talking" his friends said he always talked about me. Why doesn't he talk to me as much and why does he continue staring and looking for me?

I have severe dry eyes. My doctor put temporary tubes in my eyes, and as long as I put teardrops in all day they are a bit better. Should I let him put permanent ones in? Does it hurt? Does it work? What about doing this while on chemo? Is it a big deal? Is it surgery?

me and this guy started out awesome.. he would tell me how much he loved me and thought about me all day.. i liked him only kinda and he would just tell me how much he loved me .. this went on for about a week but then we hooked up and everything went down hill.. i started to really like him after this and he stopped telling me he loved me.. he still talks to me and says he likes me and loves me like yes & no.. tell me what to do so i can make him start loving me again! is there anything i can do? or am i pretty much screwed.. should i play hard to get? is he even worth it? should i tell him we shouldn't talk anymore and see if he tries to come back for me? HELP!!!
