When you lose your parents, you realize you are in a new world with a whole different slant on your identity. It's the emotions that are perfect for poetry. This is a poem about how empty a grave and the markings and the monuments are when you know you'll never see them again and you are as empty somedays as the grave is.



New Path

Barren and cold, it’s not without its own beauty
lying in an open field where dreams once were.

A simple marker, evidence of a complete lifetime
of experiences none of which will ever be known
except to those who look at it now with the pain
that it represents.

I bring flowers from time to time
only for them to die as well
but still the living pay homage
to the name and the space
as if this is really the place
where love lies in wait.

Empty house, empty heart
all that I knew is gone away
I must buy a new pair of shoes
it seems I’ll be walking another path.

Leutz was on patrol near the 2500 block of East Yesler Way around 3 a.m. when he saw two teenage boys acting suspiciously, according to the department. When the teens ran, he chased them in his car to South Washington Street and 26th Avenue South.

Leutz then shined a spotlight on the youths and ordered them to put their hands up, police said.

One boy, a 14-year-old, complied, police said. But the other, a 13-year-old, acted "very agitated" and didn't listen to the officer, who repeated his orders several times, said Deputy Chief John Diaz.

The younger boy took off his jacket and threw it on the ground, then lifted up his T-shirt, reached into a pocket and pulled out a black object. The teen then moved toward the officer, police said.

Believing the boy had a gun, the officer fired twice, striking the boy in the lower and upper leg. The black object was later found to be a cellphone in a black case.

As far as I know the soldiers are the ones dying over there, I would love to hear from them directly either on the tele or over the net. It is the soldiers who should decide when enough is enough, not some stuck up pollie sitting behind a huge desk, I say let the soldiers finish their job as no-one likes to leave a job half done.

Two weeks ago I had sex with my boss who is 47. He took me out for a drive in his new car after work, we ended up getting dinner at a hotel, ect... He looks much better dressed in a suit than he does naked and it sort of grosses me out that I actually had sex with him. I had a crush on him but his stomach is kinda big and he's hairy and his skin is just "loose" in a way.

My problem is that now he keeps coming on to me and wanting to "see me" again. He thinks its ok to touch me or say inappropriate things to me at work when nobody is around. I'm not rude to him but I keep telling him no and that I'm busy this weekend.

Should I find another job? I'm not really attached to this job anyway so it wouldn't be a big deal to leave but I do like my job because it's close to my college and pretty easy. Plus, it's good fieldwork experience.

I know I shouldn't have gotten involved with him in the first place but what do I do now?
