I'm probably cynical, but my trust in CNN, FOX News, and most of the media is rapidly declining. They all seem to be swayed by politics, or by someone paying them to "push" their products as "news". Can regular citizens see for themselves what comes over the "wire?"

The only truly reliable place is straight from the source. Unfortunately, the media likes to make up their own version of what really happened, so you don't get the whole story.

I like to use Google News. The main story is headlined, but then has sources for a thousand other papers/magazines, tv networks, with the same story. It lets me read a topic from multiple view points, American press Vs. British or Australian, or Canadian etc...

Try the BBC Online Newsite... They have Worldwide News Access- & they actually TRY to be even handed.. :)

Buy a Short-Wave radio, where you can get news around the world.
