A Muslim colleague - who I do not know at all - sent out a global email wishing everyone a Happy Eid. This colleague is supposed to be our "diversity advisor" but this didn't stop him imposing religious greetings on little old me - who doesn't believe in any religious claptrap, nor in ghosts, magic, or the tooth fairy.

I propose to POLITELY tell him to keep desist from sending me any religious salutations (of any kind).

Do you think this is reasonable? Should I desist? Am I likely to find a dead horse on my desk, or something?

I find myself coming up with a few questions and hypocrisies about Christianity that keep me from completely embracing the religion. For instance this pickle... the Christian religions say if you are homosexual, you are going to hell. Now I'm not gay, but I understand that that true gays are born gay which means God made them that way, so why are they being condemned to hell? Does that mean God doesn't want us to be ourselves? Whats the dilly? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts but especially by the practicing Christians out there

Whenever the U.S. film industry makes a bad move, it's usually shrugged off with the phrase "That's Hollywood for you." I

I can't speak for everyone else, but as a consumer I want to see more intelligent and enjoyable films. That means I want to see actors like Steve Buscemi and Gary Oldman get lead roles, and not Keanu Reeves. That means that Michael Bay and Uwe Boll should no longer be directing. That means less edited PG-13 fare, and more R films. Hell, that means more NC-17, or dare I say it, uncut films and (*gasp*) foreign films in their original language released in mainstream theaters.

Why isn't this happening? Are most movie-goers morons? Does the industry have such a hold on us that many feel powerless to strike back? There's a problem in Hollywood when the Wizard of Oz, Fight Club and Grindhouse bomb at the box office, but Topher Grace gets to play Eddie Brock in Spiderman 3.

My little boy is a nightmare. I have always brought him up to have manners, he is not allowed to watch garbage on telly, he has no e-numbers, he is put into time out, ignored for bad behavior, praised when he is being good, talked to and still he is a very difficult. He shouts at me, used his "own" swear words, smacks me and his father, screaches, and is generally very very hard work. I am at the end of my teather! Each day is a countdown to bedtime and i just don't want his childhood to be a bad memory to him! When he is good (not very often, and usually before illness) He is excellent. Help!!

Thanks for all the great answers people have been giving me about military life and practices. Also all the great web sites that have tons of information. Actually I probably could answer most (maybe all) of my questions without reference to yahoo simply reading all the great information on the web sites but honestly I LOVE ASKING QUESTIONS ON YAHOO lol lol. Eventually I plan to get to know the other spouses in my husband's unit (the FRG) after he finishes his training and if living at home do e mails, chat groups, and text messaging. Ok I found out from a previous question and from other sources that there is no formal hierarchy for military spouses as for their husbands but an informal one still exists ie I can't talk directly to the General's wife. I discovered the concept of the chain of command. My husband must go through his layers of supervisors. What about me. Could I talk directly to his commander if I have a question or concern, or do I have to follow his chain of comm

A man was walking along the beach and found a bottle with a genie. The genie said, "I will grant you one wish"

The man thought for a minute and said, "Well, I have always wanted to go to Hawaii but I'm afraid to fly. I wish for a road to be built from here to Hawaii."

The genie was taken aback. "I can't do that; think about the pilings needed to hold up the highway and how deep they would have to be to reach the bottom of the ocean. Think of all the pavement and steel and concrete that would be needed. I'm sorry, you will have to choose another wish."

The man thought for a minute and then told the genie, "I would like to be able to understand women."

The genie stared at him for a while, and said. "So, do you want two lanes or four?"

Giuliani is still leading nationally closely followed by thompson, Romney is leading in key states, and Thompson is doing good both in the states and nationally but he kinda did poorly in the CNBC debate. The thing with Giuliani and Romney is that Giuliani is pro-choice and that James Dobson character might run a third party candidate (vote spoiler like Ross Perot) and if Romney gets the nomination there are a bunch of bigots who won't vote for him just because he is a mormon. I personally think Giuliani has some bi-partisal appeal and Romney is a grest speaker. While thompson has the best conservative record. Its a tough call. What do you think? There is a poll of likely caucus participants and romney won it. Can that forshadow anything about his chances of getting the nominations (even though hes not doing well nationally)

I have a specific situation that requires me to reduce my CSS stylesheet to XHTML. Rather than an admonishment about "why" I shouldn't, I would like advice about how to do this properly - is there a tool out there that will do this? For example, it would need to consider other directives in the stylesheet that relate to each item, etc., then combine them properly into XHTML/HTML4.
