For example, the Christians that dont go to church. Couldnt they be seen as really being non-believers? If you do believe in God, wouldnt you make sure you made it to church every Sunday, and live your life exactly as the Bible says you should purely out of fear of going to Hell? Is it that most "Christians" dont believe and are too afraid to admit it to themselves?

I have this dry hacking / tickly throat thing going on right now as a result of a cold. Its more annoying than anything else. Should I get a suppressant to just make it stop, or should I get an expectorant to loosen it up?
I have no idea when to use one vs. the other.

Thanks.

apparently my placenta is "aging"...my doctor said if not sooner or if the baby hasnt come on his own by the 39th week((which would be nov 1st)) then theyre going to induce me...im wondering if any of you know why i actually would be induced at the latest only a week before my due date? my mom said its more then likely because im farther along then they had originally thought, and since my placenta is already aged they dont want him to be late or "that late" they also have me taking NST((non stress tests)) every week and im getting a sonogram on tuesday....i started loosing my muscus plug at the beginng of this week and today ive been having some pretty uncomfortable cramps and some back pain...also i have this...sharp not pain just a shooting sharp feeling in my stomach..wondering if you may know what that is...my little guys also seems to be more active then normal today...lol do you think labor is approaching for me?? if so how soon do you think?? im so anxious lol

My compnay has a new Director and she is asking all the branch offices to hold a "meet and greet" so all the local officals can approach her. She has asked specifically for a restuarnt in town to be used. Problem is they can give us the room required but they will not be able to provide food for us, go figure. They say there is no health department regulation preventing us from bringing in food so I guess that is what I will have to do. What I need are easy cocktail type recipes so I can prepare the food. I really feel the need to make an impression since she is the "new boss" but I have a budget of $100 for roughly 20 people. Any ideas?

I need help deciding what to name baby boy #2. Our first son is Alexander (and we call him that, not Alex, at least not yet), so I'd like a name that goes well with that.

The other 2 names that I think sound good are ones I don't want to use - Nicholas, but we already have too many Nick's on DH's side of the family, and Zachary, but our last name starts with a Z, so it would be too many Z's!

So I narrowed it down to Benjamin or Sebastian. I think I like Sebastian more, but I don't like how it doesn't have a short form - although since we call Alexander by his full name right now, it may not matter. I don't like the name Benjamin as much (and really don't like Benji), but Ben is cute.

Or any other suggestions? There are a lot of boys on DH's side of the family, and most of the common names (Christopher, Matthew, Gregory, Andrew, etc.) have been used already, so I'd like something different.

TIA!

Please, I really am interested in the answer of this question.

I do not want a whole load of people talking to me about God and the bible because I really am not interested.

My question is:

"Scientists: do they still view evolution as a theory, or has there now been enough evidence for them to view it as a fact?"

I am not bothered about individual opinions on the matter, or beliefs or a religious debate. I just want to know what scientists have discovered.

Thank you

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.
My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.
She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards.
Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

I have a very strong sex drive but my g/f does not. She just can't get in the mood any more and it's driving me crazy. It's been going on for 2 years now and I'm not at all sure what to do. I've tried romance several times and many other things. Is this something that would ruin the relationship for you? Would you leave or stick around and wait for her to hopefully regain her drive?

Ok, so my landlord has the old hot water heaters that run along the floor as backup in my house. Soon we will be using a kerosene space heater as the main heating source, but it plugs in where our electricity usage comes from. We were told heat was included in the rent when we moved in. My main question is if that kerosene heater runs off our electricity, but heat is supposed to be included in the rent, am I right to ask for a reduction in the rent while that heater is being used? I thought heat included meant every expense that goes w/ heating the house, not just the cost of the fuel for the heater.
