This kind of goes along with a question Lovenrckts asked about a lot of the modern indie rock being very whispy and mellow. I picked up the new Band of Horses today and I like it and all. It's pretty good, but they stood at the fork and decided to make a mellower record as opposed to one that rocked equally or a little more. They're really good at the more up-ity stuff and the two or three tracks on the record that rock more are clearly, for my money, the best tracks.
Don't get me wrong. I love mellow tunes, and obviously my opinion isn't really relevant, but I'm slightly disappointed.

Do you have any bands like that? Ones that you think made the wrong decision.

It should be noted that I've only heard the record once and my opinion is completely subject to change if there is some revelation. Plus, I haven't heard it in the car yet which is the really telling listen.

My credit has always been excellent until I allowed my child to mortgage my home that I have lived in for 40 years so that she could pay off her bills. She agreed to make the payments on time, but failed to do that and also missed several payments without my knowledge and I just about lost my home. I need to know how to get this off my credit report now that I am making the payments on time and will never miss any payments.

I have been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now, I love him, and I think he is great, but the one thing that keeps me from getting as close to him as I would like to is that I have been is that I have been in love with my older brother's best friend for about 5 years. In the past year and a half the two of us have actually become a lot closer than ever before, we have become real close friends instead of just being associated through my brother. I don't know if it's still just my childhood crush, or if I really love him, but it feels so different with him than with my boyfriend, and so much more real. I love my boyfriend, and I don't want to hurt him, but it seems like my real feelings are for my brother's best friend. What is the best way to figure out what is the right thing to do that is fair to both of them?

why do people (christians mainly) have trouble believing in such things as the:
mokele mbembe
sasquatch
sea serpents
chupacabras, etc
they have trouble believing in these, but are standfast in their belief of god when theres just the same amount of evidence (if not more) for these creatures?

AND NO ONE SAY THE BIBLE
the bibe was written 2000 years ago by who the hell knows.
people didnt see any of the things that hapened in the bible, they read about them
people have actually seen these creatures

I see patients on a daily basis, who are mad at my dentist or at the office in general, for things that we warned them about from the beginning. It doesn't seem to matter if it is an actual procedure, such as warning them that a cavity is very deep and might need a root canal in the near future, and then having them get mad at us because they did in fact end up having pain and needing a rootcanal, or if it is a patient who was told that we are out of network, and can't control what their dental insurance pays, who gets mad at getting a bill.

We can say "You were told that up front." but they still don't seem to want to accept that they were in fact warned of the possibility of a tooth needing addtional work, or being warned that their insurance might not pay what we anticipated and they might get a bill. Somehow, it always turns out to be our fault, never theirs.

While she was “flying” down the road yesterday (10 miles over the limit), a woman passed over a bridge only to find a cop with a radar gun on the other side lying in wait. The cop pulled her over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronizing smirk we all know and love, asked, “What’s your hurry?” To which she replied, “I’m late for work.” “Oh Yeah,” said the cop, “what do you do?” “I’m a rectum stretcher,” she responded.
The cop stammered, “A what? A rectum stretcher? And just what does a rectum stretcher do?” “Well,” she said, “I start by inserting one finger, then work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in. I work from side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch it, until it’s about 6 feet wide.”

“And just what the hell do you do with a 6 foot a**hole?” he asked.
“You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge…”

My cat was hit by a car after escaping a cat fight. My Mom said she didn't seem to be hurt too badly. She eats, drinks, sleeps, eliminates and walks okay... but not as good as before. My real concern is her tail, which is hanging limply at the base, where I think it's broken. Is it possible it's paralyzed? She uses to talk with us, but I'm afraid she can't now. Will she be able to regain use after a while? We are still paying off her two surgeries on the same foot after a rescue mission from a feral for her late little "brother", who died last month from a complication of health problems and possibly access to spoiled food. I don't want to lose her, too, so I hope that you might be able to give me advice. Please help me.

I want to stop, or at least limit my meat intake. Bare in mind, I still love meat, but I just don't feel like it's very good for me to consume as much meat as I do. Does anyone have any tips on creating healthy, and filling vegetarian meals? I'm also worried about not getting the protein.
Thanks for the help!
