cause thats when the mayan calendar stops moving
after thousands of years, the mayan calendar is off regular time by a couple seconds
and it will stop moving on 12/21/2012
and people think that its when the world will end
but according to reports from the mayan translations
they dont believe the earth will end, but just go through a huge change
but people have interpreted this as the end of the world

Yeah, the Mayan (or is it Aztec, oh well) calender only goes up to 2012.
It is always something new with these end of the world predictions. The end of the world has been "foretold" so many times and been wrong so many times it is hilarious. Even Nostradamus, the most famous of these profit (I mean prophet) guessers, got it wrong.
2012 will come and go and the prophecy crowd will just find a new prophecy to talk about.

Too many seek after signs of the times! Truth is that we don't really know the hour. It may even be tomorrow!
What we need to do is live every day as if it were our last.
There's a lot wrong in the world today, so it's hardly surprising people are turning to the predictions of Nostradamus, who appears to have given some correct "prophecies"!
The hearts of men are waxing and growing cold to even their own brothers.
Repent, for the hour is at hand is not an unreasonable suggestion these days.

In my lifetime, I think that I have heard that the world is going toend by--------, about 50 times over the years. At one time a large group of people said that at the millenium, on the stroke of the year 2000, the world was going to tilt on its axis and whole world would be destroyed by fire, weather, earthquakes etc. There were thousands of people who honestly believed that this was going to happen and prepared for it. They waited, waited , waited and are still waiting. If the world will ever end, nobody knows when, I feel that it will never happen because there are so many wonderful people out there challenging so many things that are hurting this planet. Global warming, the various wars that are at present going on but people are not letting their voices be heard. What is interesting to me that many good people have been assisinated to shut them up, and yet there are some in power today, who are hurting the planet and its people, by their actions and nothing seems to be done about it. Thereagain, we don't know. Maybe global warming will interefere with the wars etc. There is nothing more powerful than nature herself. Live your days happily, not thinking of tomorrow, because what you do today, will influence tomorrow.
Be the best you can be today and tomorrow will be a better day. Most misery is made by either hinking of the past or thinking of the future, Not enough time is spent inthe present, and by doing so we miss the NOW..

I have heard about the end of the world so often in my life I will now believe it only when I see it. I sat in my office waiting for three o clock when the world was to end some years ago and it didnt happen!!!! the tension in the office was horrific! Stupid people make up stupid things to worry others!

The Mayan calender ends on December twenty-something, 2012. It scared the crap outta me when I first heard this but then i realized that God's not a liar and the day of Christ's return is completely unknown to us. He will come soon but it's impossible for anyone to know when and there's probably some reasoning behind the end of the Mayan calender but all we can do is be ready when it happens. The Bible says to watch and pray for the kingdom of God is at hand. Don't be afraid.

I am truly amazed that the only mentions of this prophesy fulfillment is of the myan calendar. Also considered are The Bible Code & the arrival of Jupiter (star of Bethlehem?), all dated the same on December 21, 2012.
This date is not mentioned per se in the Bible but it does mention the generation that sees specific signs.
Coincidence, who knows.

Well, that's what they said in the X-Files. Mulder and Scully found out that there would be an alien invasion in 2012. Maybe that's why? Seriously though, there is no way for humans to predict when the world will end.

They say that for year 2000. Now its 2007 almost year end. What do u think? Captial of Thailand, Bangkok will be submered under the sea yr 2020 becos of the global warming... so.. better to visit the captial city before its gone.
