My brother has been selling stuff and eBay has has been doing very well thus far. He uses the money he's making to help pay his college tuition. He hasn't had any problems until here lately.
He sold four mugs and started them out at $2.00. The auction ended and they sold for $106.00. Our mother packed them in bubble wrap, lined them with that foam sheeting and stuffed newspaper around them. She wrote "fragile" on the box and "fragile" was also stamped on the box by the post office.

The buyer just sent an email stating that two of the mugs were broken when he received them and wanted us to send half of the money back. He then sent another email saying that he wanted a full refund since he wasn't pleased with the mugs. I feel that my brother should not send him a refund. Our mother took every precaution to ensure that the mugs arrived safely. The buyer did not wish to purchase any insurance on the mugs when shipping them. What would you do, keep the money or send it back?

I am asking this question very generally.

When Windows boot up, it can automatically tell what are the Drives A, B, C, or E and F. How does it know? How does it know those are drives? And how does it know what type of drives are these?

Likewise, when you insert a USB drive into the system, it will automatically know it is a drive and not something else, like a printer or modem.

What cause Windows to know them as drives and not something else? Likewise, how does Windows know what is a modem or keyboard or printer, etc?

How does Windows also know where they are inserted?

Sorry if my questions don't sound too clear. Kind of confused myself.

my wife is taking me to a costume party, She wants me sexy, feminine, and to really stand out (that seems redundant!) She is trying to decide which i should be, a french maid or a slave girl. Which should it be? She wants to go all out so any suggestions to really do it up would be great!!!!! You know, clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, accessories, any suggestions at all! He did not even have a dentist in the episode where he had to go to the dentist. He had to go see Terry's friend. Did Jack tripper not know how important it is to go to the dentist every 6 months for proper dental care. His toothache could have been avoided with the proper checkups. Judging by the evidence presented I bet he did not floss.

i suffer from panic attacks and do not want to take medication because im 21 weeks pregnant. my sister took paxil during her pregnancy, when the doc said it was safe and her son has seizures from the paxil. so i cant trust when a doc says that something is safe. my question is, is it even worth it to tell my OB about this? i told him the first check up, he said we would monitor it. wow. no other form of help there. so i would like to know what the heck to do about all of this. i was on xanex to control these things but refuse to take that while im pregnant. there has GOT to be another way around all of this.

I finally am ready to get my first tattoo. I have the place where i want to get it and somewhat of an idea of what i want. I'm planning on getting it behind the ear and getting stars that go from big to small.(not to big though) What do you think? Do you have any designs in mind??

She will be 18 in 2 weeks and feels that she should be able to decide who she wants to date. The problem is, this boy was recently released from jail for breaking and entering, hasn't graduated and has no future as far as I can see. My daughter is a good girl, going to college and I hate for her to ruin her future by being with a loser like him. She says that since her father and I divorced and remarried, she feels she doesn't belong anywhere and this boy understands her. We have both given her everything and don't understand why she says she feels like this. I am going to take her to counseling to talk about the divorce, but for now, is it wrong of me to tell her she can not see this kid? She thinks I am unfair. She says he is different now and doesn't do bad things anymore. I just would like an opinion from someone neutral.

I love America's next top model, but they make it seem like modelling is like performing a heart transplant or something. I understand it's hard work and there is more to it than being pretty, but REALLY it's about looking good, knowing how to pose, knowing how to walk and well, that's about it. I've done a few photoshoots myself, though nothing near that extreme, so I know it's tiring, but it's not like yiou have to go to school, get educated, and solve difficult problems every day, like a doctor or lawyer does. Have you modelled? Is it really that tough or is Tyra Banks dramatic?

I just purchased generic pnp monitor however it keeps blacking out every 2 secs for no reason its as if it is running out off charge or something it goes on standby the longer the pc is off the longer it takes to blackout on. When I first switch the monitor on it won't black out for about 5mins then its every 2 secs plz help?
