OK guys,
I finally am ready to get my first tattoo. I have the place where i want to get it and somewhat of an idea of what i want. I'm planning on getting it behind the ear and getting stars that go from big to small.(not to big though) What do you think? Do you have any designs in mind??

not my first choice for a tattoo but what do i know? my first tattoo was long ago covered up. these days i am much more attracted to custom pieces of art. most people tend to get a small tattoo for their first. my husband's first was huge which was brave of him. i do like stars and plan on incorporating some into one of my future tattoos but they will not by any means be a prominent feature of it.

If it's what you want, go for it. You're the one who's getting this tattoo, not the people telling you it's a bad idea. It's completely your choice. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but I do think it'll look cute!
What if you get three stars going from smallest to biggest (smallest closest to your ear, getting bigger as they move out) and have them done in the three primary colours? Or getting the smallest a light blue (or another colour) and getting darker as it progresses?

That sounds good. A bit o advice, Put a pic of it on the wall and look at it for a few months.
Bring an earplug. It doesn't hurt9for me), but it is loud.
Eat Before going in.

If you need to ask a stranger what kind of tattoo you should have, you shouldn't get one.
Tattoo designs are personal.
Re: Being nice has nothing to do with this or any other answer. I am just being honest with you - my opinion of what your tattoo should be is irrelevant.

Go for it, girl! It will empower you and it is beautiful. Stars are a SUPER desing....actually an AMAZING desing, I think. They are a deep symbol of freedom, and you will mind them very much. good luck!

if you have read the Da Vinci code, you should get an ambigram that describes you. its the cool way of writing a word so it can be readupside down and right side up. that should make a cool tatoo. don't put any body's name . thats a complete no-no.
