I am going to get a new digital SLR camera from either Dell or Best Buy. I currently have a 5.0 mp Canon A95. I guess you could say I am a beginner so I need a camera that is easy and user friendly. I am looking for at least 10 mp. I appreciate your input. Oh yeah and I want to stay under $1000. I do not have any lenses at this time.

I was driving to the office this morning and noticed that a new Lutheran church is under construction, directly across the street from a huge Baptist church.

This got me thinking, what some religion-centric TV network creates a game show, a cross between American Gladiator and The 700 Club?

Contestants representing various schools of religious thought would be pit against others in mock combat. Crowds would roar like the Roman arenas of old as one religion battles the other for points and ca$h prizes. Special guests like the Pope, the Dalai Lama or others might appear to give their blessings or offer some seeds of philosophy to mellow the combative atmosphere.

Maybe spice things up by making it one general category of religions vs another, like Christians vs Jews, Muslims vs Unitarian Universalists.

The shows would always close with each group perhaps kneeling and giving their blessings to their Lord on high.

Plus each sect could earn money for their church.

Whatcha think?

THIS comment directed at women who want to birth naturally/have birthed naturally.........

'You don't get a medal, you know'

What the heck is that supposed to acheive? Will the pregnant mother say 'No medal? Oh, well, I'll change my plans then and get an epidural. It's not worth going natural without that medal!' I DON'T THINK SO!

How about the women who have already done it? What are they going to do? Say 'I know - and I never would have done it if I'd have known I wouldn't get one!'

What the heck?

There are many many reasons to give birth without drugs or plan to - and not one of them is to do with bragging rights or medals?! Why say this? Is it jealousy? Feeling inferior?

Who has had this said to them and what did you say back?

Does anyone know how to write "creativity" or "creative" in ottoman turkish script? Or do you know of any websites or books that would help me? I found some websites that show the alphabet but I need to know how to put it together.

I'm a guy with long hair. My bangs come a bit down in front of my eyes, which doesn't bother me considering I just brush them out of the way and it's fine. However, my grandmother insists that this will damage my eyesight, which sounds completely ridiculous to me, but I unfortunately have no real proof that it does not.

So:
Could having long hair that hangs in your eyes possibly damage your eyesight?

Everytime I go into a Wal-Mart the greeters never say anything, unless you have a return or the alarm goes off.
I would think they should at least welcome you to the store.
Hince, the title "Greeter".
Does this bother anyone else, or has common courtesy gone forever?

I got letter from toyota about 2003 Tacoma and my 30k checkup. I know, those are bogus, right? I was also reading on new tires. The experts say, 'get the same type as your manufacturer's manual recommends but the brand is optional'.

My 2 questions are:

I have over 30k on my Tacoma, what is important to get checked out?

Any suggestions on tires?

I know every case is unique and every individual is different when it comes to pain so I figured i would try to get some advice before going to the dr. and spending hundreds of dollars. For the last month or so i have been having sever pain under my center rib cage. Antacids, pepto bismo does not touch it. It feels like heartburn or my stomach is on fire. I usually wake up in the middle of the night with this pain. My back is starting to hurt between my shoulder blades now when i wake up in the morning. I have noticed that eating pizza or tomatoe based products seem to cause the worse symptoms. If anyone else has experienced these symptoms please let me know. Its sounds like i am having problems related to my gallbladder but wanted a second opinion. Thanks everyone.
