David Kramer was in and out of our house when I was younger, he and my brother were in the same gang. In the scene at Onrust River, we had Uys Krige (author), Jan Rabie (author), Marjorie Wallace (artist), Simon Rappoport, Jack Cope (artist), Cecil Higgs (artist), Elsa Joubert (author), Klaas Steytler (author). I was lucky to have friends who were in with the artist scene, and we spent a lot of time at their house where their artist friends would come for drinks. And Ferdinand Rabie (the first big brother winner ) is my cousin´s son. Uys Krige used to walk down to the beach at Onrust rivier in his dressing gown in the mornings, and when on the beach, drop his gown and swim in the nude, every day. The young kids used to love him, because he was very funny.

I recall meeting "Khaya Motene' at a restaurant in Jhb about two years ago. I know most of the All Blacks if that counts and the one person that really made an impression on me was Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter, about 6 months before he died. What a great personality he had! I also met Mel Gibson in Aussie. Zimmy is right, people are just people but it was cool to talk to Steve. He always had so much enthusiasim.

You have to be South African to know the guys I know, my grandparents were friends with Anton Goosen and they visited each other, I have a friend that is Ferdinand Rabie's (BB) cousin and my cousin was a finalist in Mr South Africa 2007 and winner of the "Body Perfect" category. He is now the cover guy for a top modelling agency in Cape Town.

I've met the All Blacks in Durban at the Southern Sun Hotel Elangeni.
And That's it really.
I don't think going to concerts and football games counts.

I met Marilyn Manson once in Berlin. He was presenting a record in a theatre and we met at the bar afterwards and talked a while. He is a very quiet person, rather shy... and very polite.

Yeah......I don't like name dropping but I know and have dinned with some......some I grew up with....and they still felt that they should not give me a cold shoulder now that they are celebs........and thanks to Madiba, I have met a couple of US and UK celebs......but few of these celebs make it for me.....whether they are South African or from abroad, to me most are just people......
