of course honesty is the best policy, but, unfortunately, in this age, we are living, most words lost their meanings

even our leaders (we are following) are not aware of this term

To begin with, honesty was ,is and will always be the best policy repeat POLICY.Having said that, let it be said and known that a life has never been and shall never be lived by any POLICY alone but by practical and timely appropriate human conduct or behavior. Same goes for truth.

Usually it has more to do with picking your battles. Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. Most times it's better to avoid providing any answer unless you're asked rather than assume everyone wants your opinion.

If you are asked, and you think being honest is going to bring you nothing but heartache and grief in the place you're at, then it's not worth even brining it up, just move on.

...but no, I don't believe people in American Society want honesty anymore. Honesty provides answers that usually require change, effort, and a little work. That's too much for people these days.

I do believe that this saying still rings true today. But, really, it should start with us. Being honest gives us a good feeling. Telling the truth will not make you feel guilty or suspicious. Returning somebody's lost belongings will make you feel at ease both in your mind and heart. Just practice it and hopefully everyone will follow.

it is the best policy all the time but also you should not ever give them oppurtunity to be dishonest...because temptation can be the root of all evil in ones mind.

its possible..not that easy though, but still possible. if you have to lie, as in you have no choice, just shut up or say any truth that can go with the lie you have in mind. for example... you have a suicidal friend asking you if she sings well, (and she'll kill herself if you say no) just say you know what, you're such a good dancer( if that's what she does best)...I'd forget about singing if i can dance as good as you! =D

believe me, it will work... no worries, no lies...
