If it was a girl, her name would be Catherine Soleil-Levant. Catherine after several generations in my family with Catherine as their first or middle name (it's my middle name), Soleil-Levant for a Monet painting that I really like.

If it was a boy...I don't know. I really like the name Dane for some reason. Maybe I'd name him Dane Alexander? I just really like that name.

I'm a Christian. While naming children after Bible characters is a sweet sentiment, those are only the English RENDERING of Hebrew names. If I was to name my child after a Bible character, I'd use the original Hebrew.

Names are a cultural element, like religion, so it should be no surprise that many names for people come from (presumed historical) religious figures.

Being agnostic and multicultural I don't fall into this category easily. Personally, I love the names Jasmine and Nefer for a girl, Rodrigo and Julian for a boy.

Novemeber 22 Jarius after the father that seeked out Jesus to save his dying daughter. It is just spelled different because the other way sounded a little strange, i think it is spelled Jairus. Luke 8:41 or Mark 5:22

I really would like a boy named Seth, or a girl named Sariah. I really like old testament names for some reason. Most of the names we have in western soceity are based on biblical names anyway.

If it were a boy I would name him Jude. If a girl I would name her Judith and call her Jude for short. I just like the name for some reason, has nothing to do with religion.

My parents named my brothers and I after people in the Bible. I got named after a woman who steals her father's idols and then sits on them and claims she can't move because she is menstruating. Sweet.

I'm actually having my first baby in January. I'm naming her Faith, and I'm sure you can guess that my being a Christian comes into play here. Also, if there is a second daughter somewhere in the future, she will be named Grace. The Lord's grace has gave me a second chance at life (eternal life with Him) and faith in Him is what carries me through each day. God Bless!

Being a 79 year old man I think I would name the kid Awesome. Do not assume everyone here is your age and gender.

Troy for a boy and Kyra for a girl.

No religion comes into play.

Melanie, after my mom, for a girl

Jason for a boy cuz I've always liked that name (and I used to have a crush on the ex-bassist for Metallica...)

Hah, I like Deke's answer. I'm not a fan of the children....

But if I had to have kids, I'd name a boy Jack and a girl Claudia. I have no religion, so that obviously does not factor in.
