I'm not a Yankees fan or anything, but should Joe Torre be let go? I mean, yea they've choked in recent years, but shoot, the guy managed them to 4 World Series titles. How many MLB managers has 4 Titles in 12 years? It's not his fault the players can't bat and the pitchers got owned

and he noticed his grandfather sitting on the porch, in the rocking chair, wearing only a shirt, with nothing on from the waist down.
'Grandpa, what are you doing? Your weenie is out in the wind for everyone to see!' he exclaimed.
The old man looked off in the distance without answering.
'Grandpa, what are you doing sitting out here with nothing on below the waist?' he asked again.
The old man slowly looked down between his legs then back at him and said,
'Well... Last week I sat out here with no shirt on, and I got a stiff neck.
'This is your grandma's idea

Last night, President Bush had dinner with a group of Muslims at the White House and he quoted the prophet Mohammed. There was an awkward moment when Bush referred to Mohammed as “the greatest boxer of all time.”

I tell some people i am athiest and they reply "Well who do you think put people and animals on this earth and where did the earth come from?", i reply with something simple like, "evolution. 1 celled organism and it grew into million celled organisms." They reply, with something like " How did that 1 celled organism get there?"

The truth is, i don't know. But the same is for the exsistnce of god. We don't know, truley.

But, they think they are all right and on there high horse, and i come back with something like, "Well, Where did god from, What made him?" They say "he has allways been there."

So why can't that 1 celled organism allways of been there.

We have more proof that it was evolution, Then "god"
some guy in a book.

Agree/Disagree, Why?

Building 7 is a UN-disputeable implosion, silverstein pbs confirmed, DEMO takes days to PLAN, PLACE, WIRE, and Comp time link the necessary explosives. WTC7 fell 7 hours after the first plane hit, also was ON FIRE for most of it.... HOW WERE PRECISION EXPLOSIONS PLACED IN ONLY 7 HOURS IN A BURNING BUILDING? THEY HAD TO BE PRE-PLACED. AND since WTC7 DEMO was preset isint it safe to assume WTC1,2 were also?

Philosophers like Sartre use human freedom as the fundamental basis for their ideas. But how do we know that it even exists? How do we know that actions are not merely the results of causes? Furthermore, how do they deal with developments in cognitive science that question the existence of a Self that is in full control of one's thoughts and actions?

I really like Joe Morgan and Jon Miller. HOWEVER, Joe Morgan gives me a bad vibe sometimes. I really feel he is out for the white players. Its almost like hes been holding a grudge for many years against the whites and what his ancestors went through. It seams like he gives the black players more respect than whites. IMO .... I also like Steve Phillips, and whoever he is paired with for ESPN. Phillips offers a different point of view from a former GM. Which is sometimes cool to hear. What are you thoughts??

I've seen some parents in public who do not watch their kids and do not have any common sense. For example, I've seen a toddler maybe less than 2 years old by himself by the playground, while his mother wasn't watching because she was conversing with other moms in her "clique". This little baby was climbing up the stairs with a bottle on one hand and then climbing down the stairs. He could have fell too. I felt guilty so I had to watch this little stranger, so nothing would happen to him.
Another time, I was at the library children's area with my son and there was this woman who left her two daughters (looked like 3 and 4 years old) there by themselves for about 10 minutes or more while she went somewhere else (she wasn't anywhere in the room).
Another time, at a different library' children's area, this mom left her young toddler (maybe 2 years old) alone at the children's area while she went to go do something else for about 5-10 minutes (she wasn't in the room either).

made it public and stressed their deep regrets for their negligence on several counts and stressed how regretful they feel and showed some form of emotion and converted the LTD: company into a charity, would they gain mass support, and would even the anti's begin to show some form of respect and sympathy... OR ARE THEY TOO ARROGANT? Maybe my question is like asking a baby not to suck their thumb.

BEIJING (Reuters) - The twenty-six year-old daughter of a rags-to-riches property developer is China's wealthiest person, with a $16 billion ( 7.8 billion pound) fortune, Forbes magazine said on Monday.

Yang Huiyan shot to the top of the China Rich List after the firm her father founded floated on the Hong Kong stock exchange in April, creating five billionaires at once.

Her low-profile father, Yeung Kwok Keung -- who worked as a farmer and on construction sites before making his fortune, according to Chinese media -- had transferred his stake in Country Garden Holdings Co. to his daughter in 2005.

Also Asia's richest woman, the Ohio State University graduate this year married the son of a top Chinese official she met on a blind date, the China Daily reported.

She is one of the few on the list to have inherited her wealth, in a country where booming economic growth has created fortunes virtually overnight.

The economy has expanded so fast that the country's 40 wealthiest people are now all dollar billionaires, compared with just 15 last year, Forbes said in a press release.

Their combined net worth more than tripled to $120 billion, from last year's $38 billion, Forbes said.

But as the number of the super-rich grows, officials in Beijing are stepping up efforts to tackle the gulf between rich and poor because they fear it threatens social stability.

Real estate was among the most lucrative sectors. Eight of the top ten have big property development interests.

"Household incomes are rising rapidly, and a growing number of people are moving into cities from rural areas. Those trends are creating great business opportunities for property developers," said Russell Flannery, Forbes senior editor and compiler of the China Rich List.

Country Garden, based in the southern city of Guangdong focuses on building villas, townhouses and large apartments.

Yang's father is still chairman and chief executive while she sits on the board as an executive director.

Last year's number one on the Forbes list, Wong Kwong Yu, slipped nine places to squeeze into the top ten, even though his fortune rose by nearly 50 percent.

Forbes compiles its list by looking at stakes in listed and private companies and other assets. It excludes Hong Kong residents like tycoon Li Ka-shing -- estimated by Forbes to have a $22 billion fortune in January.
