I don't see any people clamoring for more illegal immigrants to come to the US. These elected officials are not doing what the majority wants. Is this correct?

I have been married 8 years been with him 15 years we have 2 children together. I have had enough and want out he just doesn't seem to understand and thinks that if he apologises again or gives me enough time all will be good. I am sick of his laziness, the way he talks to me, and that his mood is always down. I want to be happy in life and be around happy people. I am also finding it harder to not think about other people and what a relationship with them would be like. How do I get him to understand? We have tried counselling but that ended up very one sided

To quote my favorite author Orsen Scott Card...

"Doesn't love show it's face when it satifies the needs of a loved one, for that loved ones sake alone?"

Now, I know how I appreciate my wife, so this isn't an "I'm looking for ideas." kind of question. I'm just curious what other people do.

None of this "I clean, I wash dishes, I take out the garbage." crap. What is it you do for your spouse that's 'special', that you have nothing to gain from other than knowing you did it for them.

I just don't care anymore. Not about my wife. She cheated on me with my worst, most hated enemy. Well, not my enemy, but just someone I found most repulsive. More-so than any other person I've ever met, except myself.

The point is, my wife cheated on me with me. And since I don't like myself at all, it made me sick when she had sex with someone who reminds me of myself. It makes me sick, and it was 10 years ago. Of course I didn't know about it for about five years or I would have never come home....we were apart at the time because I left her. It was my fault in a manner of speaking.

I think the basic question I seek the answer to is "How do I care about myself?" I have come to the realization that if you cannot love yourself you cannot truly love anyone else. And that is a real problem for me, because there are people in my life (kids) that deserve better than I am giving them.

And no, I am not bad to them, but I could be a heck of a lot better if I didn't hate myself so.

talk about freedom of religion. in our schools, we are taught that we evolved from apes. HOWEVER, some people do not belive that. Some dont even want to belive it. evolution is being rammed down our throat. isnt that an obstruction of your right to belief ?

so how about this. how about nothing about our existence is taught, NO creationism, NO evolution?

OR

Both could be taught, and kids get to choose what they want to listen to?

If you look around, a lot of people are unhappy. Sometimes its with their jobs or where they are at in life or just their life in general. Why? Don't we make our lives what we want it to be? If we don't like something in our life, can't we change it? Is there a reason that people just don't change it and keep living life unhappy? I have been wondering this for a while.

Why do people feel the need to be rude when answering question. I haven't experienced it personal but sometimes I read answers that make me so mad. Don't people know you can disagree and give your opinion without being nasty.

I know it's not really a question you can give a straight answer to it just makes me so mad.

So, I have the opportunity to pick up the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense, but the only player I can/am willing to drop is Kevin Curtis. Was Curtis just a one-game wonder, or is he going to have any other big games like that? Pittsburgh is playing pretty consistently, but I am just afraid of making the same mistake I made in Week 3, by kicking him off my team.

This is a spinoff to a question that I asked about a boss I had. I labeled her as a hippie which may have been inappropriate given the current time. Anyway a lady that is probably in her late 50's, has long straight hair, wears birkenstock sandals all the time and some earth type clothinng. Would all those be the characteristics of a former hippie?

My cat is 13 years old, but in good condition before this happened. I recently acquired two kittens from the animal shelter- BIG MISTAKE, I know now! They had been cleared for adoption after almost dying themselves from this stupid virus! My baby became ill with it about a week ago. I promptly took him to the vet, and after trying forced feeding for a couple of days, she recommended tube feeding which I agreed to doing. It's been 3 days now, and he's no better at all. He's VERY lethargic and responds when I talk to him with a very weak "meow". It's been 9 days now since the onset. Is it time to give up, or do these things take a long time to resolve? I can't seem to get my vet to give me any specifics. I've looked up practically every source on the net for info, but it's vague. Mose sources say allow 1 to 2 weeks for recovery, but I'm getting very impatient now to see some sign of improvement. PLEASE HELP!

first off I will put it out their and say I am a christian. (not mormon, not Jehovah witness, not catholic, just a Christian). i have talked to alot of Athiests online. I personally dont go around trying to convert people because I dont like to. I love God and believe in God but I dont feel the need to tell people unless they ask. its better that way anyway. Anywho my question is this. I know alot of hardcore atheist are set to tell people about the "lies of Christianity and other religions". Now religion brings hope to a hopeless world. I want to know if one of you guys actually got someone to walk away from their religion and became and atheist would you be happy. Would you really feel like you have done somthing better for the world and that person. Let me know how you would feel and please not hostile people, if you are going to answer rudely please dont bother. thank you.
