Why are our elected officials imposing illegal immigrants on US?

I don't see any people clamoring for more illegal immigrants to come to the US. These elected officials are not doing what the majority wants. Is this correct?

My opinion on this issue has been stated repeatedly on this board.... many people are coming here illegally, for 2 reasons:
1. we are importing our professional class, the educated professionals, some of whom come from these countries and decimate their ability to develop. A remittance check does not replace the presence of a bureaucrat or engineer or entrepreneur that would build an economy.
2. they are coming here because they happen to have geographic proximity.

edit: While I disagree with Eelfins description of "uncontrolled" abortions, I do agree with his broader assessment, we, like most developed countries have a very low fertility rate, as we invest more in ourselves and our smaller crop of children.

I am tired of this issue being posited as either completely one-sided, or simply the result of greedy business people. What would the US be like if, instead of being an importer of talent, we started to lose or hemorrhage it?

Yes I agree.
The illegals invasion. No matter how many times you define legal vs illegal aliens, Democrats in Congress go into their socialist spiel about human rights, jobs Americans won't do and all the other claptrap. After all, they need those votes from illegals voting.
If one listens, I mean really listens to the garbage out of the mouths of "liberal" Democrats about illegals, it all boils down to endorsing and rewarding foreigners who smuggle themselves into our country, committing a criminal act in the process. That's what Democrats in Congress wish to reward right along with the RINOs serving in that corrupt body of lawbreakers.
If Americans who belong to the Democratic Party would just take the time to understand the money trail, how the fruits of their labor is being stolen and handed over to the international banking cartel, they would boot out every Democrat in Congress and replace them with constitutionalists and real statesmen.

This is his six point plan:

The drugs are destroying our country and also the reason so many criminals are released early before being semi rehabilitated. Just look at the small fence that Sen. Duncan built in San Diego. It cut crime and illegals by 90%, no joke. The joke is that Bush has only been able to get 10-15 miles built. They also have strong lobbies and they are paying the senatorw, etc.

Think about all that drug money. The money that is paid to get here. A family of four can leave Mexico City and be met at the border by border guards and have a place to stay and then be told they have to come back in 30 days. I know this because a friends wife is from south of the border and when she was having a baby his Senate could not get her mother a visa to come and help with the baby, but she knew the family that came in.

So go figure. I had one run into my car and got a ticket for no insurance or license, now you or I would have been thrown in jail for that and the cop did not tow car, but I didn't blame him as in texas. But what about the ones that get drunk and kill people? Also the lady was making $11 an hour making eyeglasses lenses. Who would want a job in an airconditined building making $11 and that's net without taxes it's like making $16 an hour? You got it not an American but a poor illegal immigrant.

It may be too late, but we will wake up and turn it around.

Another thing is that according to CNN 15-20% of them are criminals and they rape and rob. Then fill up our jails and other criminals run free. There's usually a ton of them on friday and saturday at western union and grocery stores that have that sending, according to cashiers I've asked $400-500 back home and out of America. So you see another $50,000,000 heads out tax free as we are blood sucked.

I feel we should make them pay $500 at least one week in taxes. You figure just 10,000,000 that would be 5 billon and that would help to offset they free medical, crime, helping victims and stuff like that. ICE should hit all of these places and get there money. Also bust the scumbag employers that are screwing us and the country also. Hell we need to take care of Americans that go to bed hungry first.

One last thing, most folks here are immigrants, but came here legally. I have Mexican American friends that get livid about them letting these illegals in, because it took them over five years to get their family here legally. They also call them undesirables adn they shouldn't be hear. Wonder why you don't hear much about that is because of the criminals. So why can't the rest do the legal way? Everyone that came to America before Ted Kennedy got on a drunk and passed legislation that flooded the country with people, that he said would not screw it up, well before that the people were checked like at Paris Island.

There they would be checked for diseases, but today you notice if they got aids or tb they don't do anything because of the aCLU. That is why Americans will suffer more due to this. So if legal Mexicans come here and don't break the law I am glad to have them. I consider them Americans and they help the country, not steal from it and brake the laws.

If loving your people and countrymen and country is racist then I'm racist. Why not flood the country with Bin Laden's (which I'm sure there are a ton). With all the diseases and lost revenue it's a wonder the country hasn't flipped over like an over loaded boat. When that happens they will move on.

It's simple obey the laws. Besides is it America's fault that they can't make enough in their own country. Hey someone has to stand up and make a change, not run off. That's like the draft dodgers that went to Canada.

It's also stupid because in the 80s they sent 3,000,000 + jobs down there and now they got to come up here, no obey the law. If a head of lettuce goes to $3 I'll pay it, because in the long run medical, jails, disease, crime is hurting us so much more. Besides maybe the greedy people that say have the Chinese slave labor make the Air Jordan shoe for two bucks and then sell it here for $110 apair, might have to cut nto that $98 a pair profit.

If you are American stock it don't matter about your color or speech, what's matter is if you love the country and anre not a stinkin criminal. It's that simple. Unfortunatelly you also have the scumbag liberals who want to destroy it.

Add on next day. Here's the deal yo cannot fault them for coming here if they can make in one weekk what it may have taken two months are home. If the employee didn't break the law then they wouldn't have to break it. At least give them a work pass so they can pay taxes and don't have to worry about being targeted by criminals that know they carry their money with them because they cannot put in bank. Now ywe are told 20% are criminals, but the other 80% are here to earn money and be normal people, jsut cannot pay taxes because of deportation. All the government has to do is check ID at Western Union, if fake try money and give them a receipt. Then leave alone. JusT $1000 would be 1.5 billion for the government.

If employer wants cheap labor and is caught just have them pay 6 months of workers comp and 700% in taxes. They may need cheap labor to stay in business or just be greedy, but either way they are breaking the law.

Now here is the scary part. Of the 7 million plus visas our country gives out each year, about 3.5 million just disappear and never leave the country, where the heck are they and does that mean for the last years of Bush and Clinton there is another 35 million that we don't know about. The Mexican American love the country, but these visas are given for people from all over the world. Some of the Hijackers overstayed visas. Need to shut down the borders, north and south. Then we just have t worry about millions of trucks coming across, boats, trains and planes.
