That's in the Old Testament. When Jesus died/rose again (after OT was written etc), he 'fulfilled' those laws. Like, no one has to do that stuff anymore because He's the way to heaven. Not fulfilling those laws.

1) The bible is not all-knowing. In fact, it is just a book, and therefore, unlike a living creature, cannot know anything.

2) The Christians do not follow all of the rules set out in it because the bible itself specifically excuses non-Jewish Christians from following all the rules in it.

3) We do not sacrifice animals on the steps of the church because such a thing was never authorized - indeed, it was expressly forbidden - by the bible.

The purpose of the sacrifical system was in a very real and prophetic way speak about what God already had in mind to do through Jesus. It is interesting that the temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. With it's destruction the sacrifces came to an end. The sacrifices have never been reinstated by the a Jewish people, not even the ones who didn't accept the Messiah. Interesting that 70 AD was only about 35 years after Jesus's death, burial, and resurrection.

The Law you refer to also had the purpose of making us realize that we are incapable of keeping it perfectly and so abtain eternal life. Even Moses the Law Giver himself fell short and was not allowed to enter the promised land. By Moses, the Law, it is impossible to enter.
That's why we needed the once for all better sacrice of Jesus.
It was Joshua not Moses who led the people into the promised land. Interesting that Joshua had been there all along. Jesus and Joshua are essentially the same name in Hebrew. It's was all given as prophetic signs of what was to come.

When Jesus came he said that the whole sum of the Law was to love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. He said, "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22: 34-38)

Sound's like you are really asking some good questions. If you really are curious really want to have your other questions answered, Just sincerely ask and humbly seek, The Holy
Spirit will open your mind as you read the Bible and give you understanding. Sound's like hocus pocus, I know. But really without the Spirit of God revealing the Bible is just a dead, confusing book, with a ton of wierd names and stories.

Animal sacrifices mentioned in the OT were for the Jews living under a theocracy. When the Lamb of God, Jesus, sacrificed himself, this did away with the need for animal sacrifices. When the Jews made animal sacrifices, they had to be repeated year after year. This is because they were merely a foreshadow of the ultimate, perfect sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

I am guessing you really haven't read the WHOLE bible. Sacrificing ended with the death and resurrection of Jesus. The sacrifices that were made prior to Christ, was done yearly to atone for the sins of the people- however when Jesus came those were stopped because Jesus gave His life, to forgive us of our sins, ONCE AND FOR ALL. Jesus is the perfect LAMB OF GOD, that takes away the sin of the world. Rules do not save, only Jesus does!!

1) The Seventh-day Adventist Christians believe in following all the ten commandments.
2) The sacrificial system pointed to Christ, and when He came all was fulfilled. That's one of the things it meant when the veil of the temple was torn by an unseen hand at His death.

Because it would be messy and ruin the after worship covered dish lunch.

Also, it would mess up the steps to the church, which would be a big problem for the newer buildings, particularly those that cost half a mil. and more. You wouldn't want to do that of course.

And while were on that subject, what are churches doing with expensive buildings anyway? Didn't Jesus demand that his followers give up all their wealth. *See question above*

Those are primarily Old Testament rituals and observances. Since the advent of Jesus Christ many of the Old Testament duties are no linger needed. Jesus culminated or overcame them for us. I guess you could look at it sort of like this: Why don't people still ride horses or horse drawn carriages to get from place to place anymore? Why? Because the automobile has replaced what the horse once did.

This is perfect if Christ had not atoned for sin. Jesus is the sacrfice the lamb of God. The sacrifices were shadows of the coming of the lord. We are by faith made new through this atonement and are free to worship God in spirit and truth not traditions of law. The law does not perfect a man but through Jesus we are made new.

The Bible is a book it is not all knowing...God is all knowing.

we are walking hypocrisy.the bible was put together by man and edited by man. men who got together and decided what writings would be put in this "book". the idea behind it was to strengthen the church not belief. i personally do not believe in religion, the premise behind Jesus and his teachings as I know it is unity and peace. how many wars have been fought because of religion?! religion is segregated in categories like Catholics, Baptists and so on-if we all believe in a higher power why separate in groups, defeating the purpose of unity, when we can all just worship our higher power together. i am at constant battle with my beliefs and what i was taught, to avoid further contradictions of those who preach but not live by "the word", i worship in the structure God created from his own image-in the peace, solice and sanctuary of myself.
