Atheists don't believe in the concept of hell, heaven, devils, satan, etc., so no, we don't pretend that burning in hell would be fun. We just flat-out deny that hell exists.
Can you show me where it is?
Oh, and it's not ignorance; we just don't see any evidence it does exist.
You believe what you want, and please respect that others may believe differently. It's not a race or a contest.

You would think by now that Christians would understand that atheists are not interested in your lame attempts to get us to take stock in your wares!
I for one, can answer your stupid questions, until the end of time, (or at least until I die), without getting converted! Bored as hell(pardon the pun), but not converted back to darkness!
So have a good long 'drink' before you go, and have a nice evening!

Do you think that theists have the idea that God allowing/causing people to burn in hell would be nice or are they just bloodthirsty sadists?

No one should worship a deity who behaves like the one described by Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, even if such a deity really exists.

What is it that would be burning? Anything that must burn for ever has to be some thing combustible and infinite in extent.

A mass of less than 100 kg on earth, which is either buried or cremated on death suddenly becoming an infinite combustible entity is difficult to believe.

there is a third option, which you apparently have ignored, and it is this: atheists have heard about your beliefs concerning hell, and don't think that they are correct. an atheist needs to worry about such things roughly as much as the consequences for their afterlife of the fact that their bodies will not be mummified upon death (in other words, not at all).

LOL! Try to think about it. Does an atheist believe in Hell any more than they believe in anything else religious? I know it's a difficult concept for you to grasp, but not everyone believes the way you do, and we're not required to to be considered intelligent.

oh burning in hell would be awesome. if thats where all the partyers, potsmokers, and lusty barflies go then its probably one neverending party. compare that to an eternity of nothing but worshipping god, devoid of all secular pleasures. sorry, but i can barely sit still for an hour in church on sunday morning, let alone eternity. no thanks, hell doesnt seem so bad when you consider the companionship. plus, the proven existence of hell would be a relief to a guy that believes in oblivion, like me.

What's up with this religious misconception? Obviously if we don't believe hell exists, we aren't worried about our souls eternally being damned therein. The same goes for God. We don't fear his wrath because it's come to our collective attention that he's just a figment of your imagination. Why would we be afraid?

As we atheists don't believe that such a place exists we just don't worry about it.
Just in case I am wrong, save me a seat next to you won't you.
