1) If so, what's the point of the rest of the constitution? Isn't it just redundant?

2) If Bush decides that warrant-less searches, state-sponsored religion, and corporate welfare is good for the "general welfare," doesn't that mean he's working within the constitution?

3) Does a constitutionally limited republic mean anything to you, or should we lose rights every time a slick conman can convince a slim majority of voters?

My bf was in a terrible accident and sometimes he will have a dream that is like a horror movie of the accident playing over and over in his head. Is there any way to stop this or prevent it?

When I was younger, I had this dream where an ice cream truck was coming toward my house. It stopped outside of my house so it could wait for customers. Then, a lot of random kids (the same age as me) came out to buy ice cream from the truck - but soon after that the children discovered that all of them were penniless. Quickly after that I looked at the palm of my right hand and saw a bunch of change. Then the dream ended, right then and there.

What does my dream mean? It's always bothered me..

when you regain consciousness, you were on a stage, in a full house theater, acting in Equus, standing next to you, a naked Daniel Radcliffe. You look at yourself, you too are naked. what's on your mind that time?

My socialist friends claim there are thriving socialist democracies such as in Scandanavia. Can that be true? What is the rebuttal for such ideas?

The explosion of the Hindenberg was a quirk... it happened because at that point in the pre-war, the US cut off the supply of helium to the rest of the world. The germans switched hydrogen... this led to inevitable disaster.

However, the dirigible technology was very promising; the ability to move large loads of freight and passengers over land and sea, without need for roads, bridges and other terrain infrastructure, was a great idea; brilliant actually.

Trucks and trains require extensive infrastructural upkeep... and a look around at that infrastructure shows it has been impossible to sustain. Also the roads and rails chew up the landscape.

Modern engineering could make dirigibles of great load bearing effectiveness, that would use far less fuel than trucks
and not require the massive upkeep of railroads...
It's a real answer to a lot of our problems.

Why not look that way again? It would be a greener solution than the contining expansion of highways and rail.

I beseech all the regulars of G&WS to help stop the standoffs, delusional ratings and various other sabotages of what was an excellent and educational forum just two months ago! I came and stayed around G&WS in an effort to learn and in the process became very fond of many of the regulars here---I also have learned a lot! I've learned far more about different ways that men and women interact and handle various roles...these are important things to know, I've also learned a lot of other things some even about myself as ideas, thoughts and base knowledge were challenged. I imagine many others are learning a lot here---why lose all that to sputterings of the delusional or ignorant? Some "trolls" do bring humor or a time out from more serious discussions and that's cool...but lately it's turned more into a virtual riot here and that is a shame.
I beseech you all----can we put the flames of hate and delusion out?

I work for my sister and so does my dad. My dad works probably two to four times a month. He brings his dog here, too. I started noticing lately that whenever I sit at the desk my feet and ankle itch and it feels like something is biting me. I started to look closely and notice I had a flea on my foot. So now she has fleas. I am now thinking I have fleas at home because on occasions I feel like my feet are itching but my fiance doesn't ever notice anything. I also have a 2 year old so I don't want the fleas to bother her. How should I handle this? I'm thinking I should first find out for a FACT if I have them at home. Then tell my sister (who is my boss technically) that the fleas need to be gone. But how should I go about it without sounding demanding or rude?

My wife will stay out all night gambling and the house is filthy, would I have a chance to get custody of my daughter if I filed for divorce?
Been putting up with it for 6 years now, plus she smokes a lot of weed.
I tried talking to her but I more or less gave up by now,I think my wife still wants to live the single life, but I,m scared to leave my little girl with her I think she will be neglected by my wife because she sleeps so much during the day.

and a week later he raised it to 50 mg. About a week after I started to feel a little better, but have felt a bit up and down this entire week. Today has not been such a good day...depression, anxiety. When will this stuff start to level off and begin to help me? I was on it for 6 months about 3 years ago, and it helped a lot from what i remember, i just dont recall how long it took or what my break in period was like.
