hi. im going to be 17 years old in january of 2008. im a college sophomore in CA, and im working 2 jobs already. i want to file my taxes seperate from my parents although I do live with them and partially depend on them but can live on my own as soon as I turn 18.. Is it possible to file my own taxes and if possible, how do i do this?

I know a lot about operating computers, just not programming them and the internal devices and whatnot. What would you need to know about the computer to tell me if i can buy a wireless adapter card for it and make it worth while? it has windows 98, it has a pentium(r) processor, 16MB RAM.. what else do you need to know? and how do i find the info on the computer? thanks!!!

I've been dieting and exorsizing for a month now, and I just started my period for the first time that I've been doing this. For the week leading to my period, I worked the hardest, but didn't loose a thing. Now that I'm 3 days into it, I've lost a couple pounds. So I was wondering if pre-period is it harder to loose weight? Or during your period? (I wasn't bloating or cramping or anything, so it wasn't weight from that, if you do gain any from bloating)

I was prescribed them at the same surgery but by different doctors, I forgot to ask if I can take them together and now the pharmacy will be shut all weekend. I lost the leaflet that came with the amoxycillin (daft, I know) and wanted to know if I can take the two together. Thanks.

I have an offer from a company to work with them as a 1099 Independent Contractor. However they are telling me what they'll pay me ($500/wk) and determinining the deliverables. As a contractor, do I legally have a say in both the pay and what will be done?

Also, it is a small start-up company, and they are paying all of their "employees" as contractors to save the company money. Is this shady?

I've always been a W2 employee, so any advice/input would be greatly appreciated!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's strange that in games such as cops and robbers, or hide and seek, or tag, harmless games like that, nobody wants to be it? Everyone wants to be chased. Then everyone comes into the real world when they grow up and suddenly kidnapping is a vicious game of hide and seek...what do you think?

When would it be? For myself, I am glad that I was born when I was. I was old and young enough to enjoy the sixties (a hippy) the seventies (a punk) the eighties (a new romantic) etc. and watch the progress of technology, music, art,etc. My kids were born at a time when it was safe for them to play out with their friends, and I am still young enough to work and enjoy life.What about you?
