We're not purchasing an airplane seat for our (then) 1 year old. She'll sit on our lap; although we hope to have a bulkhead.
So, I assume that, unless there are free seats on the plane, the baby seat is useless at that time.
However, I can rent a baby seat for about $60-$80 for 2 weeks, from the car rental agency. That saves lugging a seat around airports.
That said, we may also be spending some time in taxis (at the end of our trip, after returning the seat.)
Anyone know:
a) can you carry a baby in your arms in a taxi in France ... or do you need to supply a baby seat?
b) other than "a" and saving $60, is there any advantage to bringing a seat over from europe?
