I think his most effective pitch was the two seem fastball. Did you see how it cut back over the plate against left handed hitters? Great pitching performance! Your thoughts.

Hey Booger, I love my Yankees but credit has to be given where credit is due.

Jerbson, That two seemer was unreal. He seemed to set up left handers with what looked to be an inside cutter than, boom!! The ball came back over the plate. Right handers were looking for a straight fastball and ended up swinging at air. It jammed them every time.

Hey ikycharmz - thanks for the comment. I actually gave you the thumbs up. Yea, there are a few of us who love and understand the game. Think about it, where would baseball be without the Yankees and Red Sox?

From the 2nd to the 6th was truly a work of art. Beckett's location on all his pitches was perfect. That 2 seem fastball at 98 mph to a righty was impossible to hit. It started out right over the plate and cut inside off the plate. He hasn't looked better all season. Most importantly he stayed on his game when the Angels did get a hit to keep them from having a big inning.

Beckett was awesome. I was psyched he did this on national tv, so then everyone on here and through out the nation can now understand why we keep pushing the kid to win the Cy Young. Thanks for the kudos man, because I know you will get some razzing from fellow Yankee fans. Shows your a true fan and not a bandwagon fan. Good luck tonight.

EDIT: wow, I even gave a Yankee fan props and also SAY GOOD LUCK TONIGHT from a Red Sox fan and you still get thumbs down. Just shows some of your fellow fans are losers. Arod_ below and Mick I see are a couple of classy one's...oh ya and of course, Proudmexican as well.

I was very impressed by Becket.. I lived in South Florida for 4 years and had the oppurtunity to see him pitch live 3 times, and each time he was impressive, but this performance last night was absolutely dominating

He is a real good pitcher when he has everything going, which is most of the time when he is healthy. It looks like he will be a real handful for other teams all the way through the playoffs.

If he's like that all through October, the Sox are going to be in very good shape. That was a joy to watch.

I have to admit, Beckett was nothing short of fantastic.......I know we (Yankees) knocked him around pretty good the last time we faced him but NOTHING could touch him yesterday........Give the man his props no matter which team you're rooting for...........That's what makes baseball the great sport that it is..............CAT

Thank you Mick for giving credit where its due.

Beckett was incredible last night, and that fastball was unbelievable, it would twist and turn, and before the hitter knew what hit him it was already in Tek's glove.

That's our ace that pitched that stellar performance last night.
