I have 2000 Mitisubishi Mirage DE and I just replaced the brake pads myself. Before I had replaced the pads, my was making a grinding sound whenever I tried to stop. The old pads were really worn and thin so I believe that I fixed the grinding noise. However, when I tried testing the car to make sure that everything was good, I noticed that whenever I try to stop, it takes a longer than it should. I brought the car up in increments of 5,10,15,20,30, and 40 mph and tried to stop as fast as possible. Each time, the stop too long. Can anyone help?

I have a 1991 Chevy K1500 with a 350 in it. The block is from an '81 and the truck has been run hard. I fixed a problem with my fuel pump a few days ago and it has been running like never before. But now, every time I let off the gas, the oil pressure gauge drops to 0 and my "Check gauges" light comes on. It also stays a little low, especially when I get on it. I'm thinking maybe the sending unit, oil pump, clogged filter, or maybe a messed up bearing. Any ideas?

I want these dumplings to be more crispy after they are boiled and it it also suggested to do this.

Do I just but butter in a pan with the heat on medium-high and put the dumplings in to fry?

Or is there use of vegetable oil or something?

Honestly, I'm not sure how things are 'fried' in a pan and the directions on the bag doesn't help!

You'll be relieved to know I'm a STUDENT and I hardly ever cook.

What it says on the bag: 'You can fry after boiling dumplings into a pan until golden yellow bottom'

So how do I do this?!

Thanks sssso much, I'm STARVED!

I lived 18 years of my life in my parents home. Then I got married. When my parents retired and moved to a condo, I wanted to buy their home from them. My mother sold the house to someone else. Years later I approached the new owner of the house, asked them if they would sell it to me. They said yes, for 3 times what it was worth! Many years later, after my parents died, I drove by my parents house. It was a burned-out shell. Then it was torn down. The a apartment building/condo was built on the land. I had a dream that I won a lot of money in the lottery, bought the apartment building, torn it down, and rebuilt, then finally moved into, my parents house. Not the same house; a replica, but similar as possible. My wife says I am having problems with "closure". What do you think?

I am currently deployed and I am putting together a Halloween gathering and Haunted walk-through of our compound. I need to find some good online places to get spooky/scary/creepy halloween props. This is an EOD unit so kiddy-type Halloween stuff is not what I need. I have a limited budget and about a week to get everything shipped over here. Any suggestions? Preferably from folks who have done haunts before and understand where I'm comming from.

If you have anything that you would like to donate I would forever grateful!

Thanks all.

I used to have a 45, that I haven't heard for years. The artist was something like The entire cast, or something. It was about 2 towns, fighting over a gift, and at the end, after they killed everyone you find out that the gift is peace on earth. Sorry to be so vague. I haven't heard this since I was 15, and I'm 23 now. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Also, sorry for the poor grammer and run-ons, I'm lazy right now.

A man in a taxi taps the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screams bloody murder, loses control of the cab, and swerves onto the sidewalk before stopping just inches from a lamppost.

After checking to make sure the passenger is OK, the driver says, “I’m sorry, but you scared the daylights out of me.”

“Sorry. I didn’t realize a simple tap on the shoulder would freak you out so much,” the passenger says.

“It’s not your fault,” replies the cabbie. “Today is my first day on the job after 25 years of driving a hearse.”
