I have a large bump the size of a gumball that came up on my inner elbow after I hit my elbow about 3 months...its still there but doesnt have any pain associated with it...does anyone know what this could be??

I'm doing this experiment and i have to write down the order from least to most reactive. The experiment consisted of 4 cups with vinegar and each cup had a metal in it. Metals were: galvanized nail, steel nail(iron), nickel and a penny. I had to watch over the next few days as to what happens to the 4 metals.

hello everyone, I'm Italian and I'm at my first year of studying English at University. I had studied English at highschool but definitely not at the same level. Basically our professor destroyed all our knowledge (or at least, what we thought we knew) of English in an hour and a half.
First question she asked, that we have to do some research about for homework. ''He can run faster than I (can)'', ''He can run faster than me''. Both sentences are grammaticaly correct. BUT what's the difference in the function of THAN in the 2 sentences?
And also, what's the difference IN MEANING between some and any? can you say ''Alex likes any beer/Alex likes some beer''? (I guess the answer is YES, but why doesn't it sound right?)
I know these question might sound really stupid for you English native speakers, but we have never been taught grammar this way. it was just a bunch of rules. why this woman, and rightly so I believe, wants to know WHY.

They come across lots of stars and say "this is made up of that gas and this gas....ect...." these are all gases we as humans know about, but do they believe there could be GASES that we DO NOT KNOW OF?

Ok. So i KNOW you are supposed to stop. And I always do, but this morning it was POURING and it was really early so it was dark and everything, and on the opposite side there was a big vehice with flashing lights. And I couldn't really see it, like I sisn't see the stop hand or anything, so I just kept going. I was assuming it was a garbage truck or something, and then they honked at me, and I realized CRAP its a school bus! So I don't know if they were able to see my plates or not, but if they did, what is the worst that can happen to me? Will my license be taken away? Will I go to jail? I am so freaked out! I live in Idaho by the way.

I am spiritual mother(Godmother) to twin girls.Every time I hold one of them, I get the impression of lazy eye. When they were born they weighed about one pound and had to be placed in an incubator.The mother said that the light in the incubator was too bright and one twin was diagnosed as blind.The other had surgery costing about $35,000.She is due for a checkup. The parents could not afford surgery for the other daughter.The doctor said that they would not walk until 5yrs; but they walked at 2yrs.The one who is said to be blind walked to me in the kitchen without bumping into anything.In fact, she walks alone at times.People say she responds to voices but I believe she can see because she has done things without waiting for voices.One time she wandered near the boundary for the property and I cut her off several times.I heard her say''I scared". Her sister wanted me to talk to her Dad- who is dead-on a play phone later that day but I refused.What do you think?What can I do to help?

My best friend is currently recovering from a mastectomy. She said she'd rather poke her eyes out than go to a support group. Her concern is that they would be too negative and not helpful. She's pretty sensitive to/not interested in wallowing (and has the impression that the groups/meetings would be very much about that). She's all about moving on and seeing this experience as positively as possible (she is an inspiration!).

She could use some support and conversation from others that have been through it. I suggested that maybe there are some groups out there that are all about positivity...though I have no clue where. Can anyone suggest a good one (or more)? She lives in the Northeast US. Online sites would be good too.

He has eight teeth through all the way, and nine and ten are half way through. I'm having a HORRIBLE time getting him to let me brush them. I manage to brush them three times a day, but OH LORD is it a fight! lol He clenches and bites and screams. I don't know what to do to make it easier for him. I've used finger brushes, manual and battery powered ones, different paste (kids paste, of course) everything...

I just did here at work in my quiet office. Ha Ha! I had these cookies wrapped up in this little plastic bag wrapper and I swear it took me like 8 minutes to open it because it was so loud! Ha Ha!

...At least the hard (and loud part) is over because they are soft, quiet cookies, so I can eat them without any noise. Thank God, I did not pack chips as a snack though... Crunch! LOL!

I went to an event (non military) and two people had black military uniforms on. No jackets, black pants, black button up shirt with ensignia and one with a cadet hat the other with a beret. Is this an actual branch or a special costume. Also where can I get it? The ultimate deliverable for this question is a link to a place where I can buy the black uniform.
