I know this is a bizarre question, but, the other day I bought pears from these kids (the way you buy lemonade from kids) and it was three dollars for the bag of pears. Later I tried to eat them and they were absolutely lacking in taste. They just didn't taste good. They didn't taste bad, but not good either. Kind of lacking juice. Now, I don't blame anybody but myself because the transaction was made fair and square. I couldn't tell for sure if they were just trying to get rid of not so great pears or what. My question is...was I naive in that people try to scam you with sales like this to get rid of stuff they don't want.
Normally, I don't think twice when buying lemonade from neighborhood kids -- but I don't know what to think after this strange experience. Again, I don't blame anybody but myself, but the pears were disappointing....
