I am a christian and all, but there is no way that everything in the bible is complete truth.

For example. The stories in the bible were told to other people, whom told them to other people, so someone could write it down. And then other people took what they wrote, "proofed" it and then it became the book we have.

If I told everyone what I wanted in a book chapter. I told one person. They tell another person, but possibly get one thing wrong. That person tells another and possibly gets another thing wrong. Then the person that "Proofs" it possibly doesn't like everything I said, so chooses to change a few things.

Anyone agree, their is no logical way that everything in the bible is 100% what really happened?

A juror on the Phil Spector trial gave as his/her reason for conviction "He acted guilty". What does this say

About out judicial system, jury of our 'peers', the wheels of justice and what Mark Twain said about not wanting to be judged by anyone who wasn't smart enough to get out of jury duty?

This (unnamed) jurors comment chills me.

I believe a jury is a good thing but, i think they should actually be trained on how to anlyze, think critically, be objective & dispell prejudice. But is that even possible?

It was a hung jury and a mistrial was declared, but this (unnamed) juror will potentially judge another trial.

How are NHL hockey players able to fight bare knuckle and hit helmets and noses and teeth and everything?

and not mangle and really infect their hands? Are they pumped up on painkillers during games? This is the only sport where guys are allowed to bare knuckle fight someone. Sure, in the NBA, NFL and MLB you get the occasional fight, but punches rarely land.

this is for anyone who know's about back pain, please!?

hi, i just had an mri and i have a bulging disc at c7 in my neck and not severe but scelosis and just really bad back pain, i saw the physical therapist yesterday i'll be going 2 times a week for 6 weeks, but my question is family doctor wants to discuss pain relief the ibprofen isnt enough he mentioned dilaudid, moriphine, right now im on loratab the highest strength 1 tid, but it does'nt seem to get me through the day long enough i see him next week to discuss adding something with the loratab does anyone out there have any idea's i have to be a little carefull due to seizures from a car accident, so like no ultram , i dont have an addictive personality but i dont want to be on like methadone like he suggested , my question is what do you think would work well with the loratab and of course the pt and the exercises, and will this ever go away he seems to think i will need to be on these med's for ever going as far to even sign a paper that i can only get narcotics from him

Where does the phrase "send them packing" come from?

My guess is it comes from sports, when a visiting team plays your home team and you want to "send them packing" (i.e., go back where you came from) – otherwise it's just a really rude saying that implies you are hosting someone and you want them to leave.
