Hey all! Well, I recently moved to PA and have not met many people. So, I have been invited to a scrapbooking party and I don't know what to take. Also, do you allow any room for evolution by interpreting the Genesis timeline in a metaphoric sense instead of literally? That is, were a day represents a time period other that 24 hours such as in "...a day is as a thousand years..." or Daniel's weeks.

I have $6,000 I want to invest, but I only have 8 months before I need to pull this money, and its profit (hopefully) out for a down payment on a mortgage (i'm not suggesting this will be all the money I put down,but follow me along here). My question is should I invest in a mutual fund (is 8 months enough to see profitability?), stocks (i have a few in mind), or maybe even a 5% annual yield savings account ? My internet runs very dial up connection slow at night evening and takes ages to load pages like myspace and chat rooms. But funnily enough i went on really early 6 oclock and the internet ran as fast as the speed of light. But when it came round to 3/4 oclock afternoon time the internet begins to get slow again. Then next morning very fast. I dont gets whats wrong...can somebody tell me how to make it fast all the time?

My daughter is planning a 1 year exchange overseas and wants to go to Brazil. Her father is concerned for her safety, we have heard many WONDERFUL things about Brazil too.

Can any Brazilians tell me a bit about any US students in Brazil they have known? Did they adjust well?

Are Americans welcome or has our International policies made it a very anti-american country and she may be bullied there for it?

Brazil seems like a very progressive country, but are women considered "equal" in Brazil, sorry, this may be a misconception Americans have of So. America concerning "machismo" so please don't be offended.
I have met many Brazilian students and they have been great kids:)

(I'm a female) I'll like to start off telling, I have a bump on my nose that's only viewable from the right side of my face. When I ask people what ressemblance I have with my dad, they tell me "your nose". I've been told by many people that I'm beautiful, but I don't think I'm all that. (I have cat eyes and silky long hair, maybe that drags the attention.)
When I look at the right side of my face in the mirror, it doesn't look bad, I don't notice the bump that much. But when I take pic from that angle, it mostly looks awful to me (except in one or 2 pics). Or even in a video, *sometimes* that side looks bad to me, Why?!
Some people don't look diff in pictures (like Utada Hikaru? or maybe celebrities just wear too much make-up to look photogenic), but why do some do look diff?

My soon to be husband and I only just met but when you know, you know.......we both have our own things and he said it would be a good idea if we wrote something up stating what was to be done in case of so that exes and family couldnt come in and shove me out of his home he would want me to stay in, etc.
Can that be done by us or will it have to be notorized or ran by a lawyer to be binding? We both hate the thought of, well lets just say someone taking everything from both of us because we didnt do it right. Thanks.
