1, Request and hope for UN to intervene.
2. Push China to pressure the Burmese military to immediately form a joint government with civilian leaders.
( it is best if they join with ASSK . even if not they can ask other civilian leaders to share power with them )
Everything should be transparent and corruption controlled.

3. Donate cash for charity and education purposes in villages of Myanmar directly. Not to outside activist groups. Not to refugees. Not to missionaries. This will just make things worse.

And who exactly do you think is capable of standing up to the Chinese government?

It is a nice thought, but I cannot imagine who is ready to take on that war..... Unless it is the Chinese people themselves, and of course they are too scared.

I hope that nobody is holding their breath waiting for the UN to help.
