Have you seen this candidate calculator?

http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html

My closest match was with Sam Brownback (75.44%)
The lowest match for me was John Edwards (33.33%)

The site doesn't cover some of the issues that I consider most important, but it is still fun.

What were your results? And who do you support the most in the upcoming election?

Of the top tier candidates, I most agree with Fred Thompson for the Republicans, and Barrack Obama for the Democrats.

No surprise there.

This calculator is far, far to generic.
For or against doesn't mean much. What matters is what they plan on doing. For example how can you be for or against Guantanamo? I can be for or against the actions which took place in Guantanamo but that's like say are you for or again Pearl Harbor, or are you for or against New York?

It is also interesting that the most matched candidate is Mike Gravel. WOW.

Personally I was matched with Hillary, which I do agree with for the most part, I just feel like she can't be trusted.

I would like to see the candidates results. Also who choose these results on behalf of the candidates. Was it one of the site operators a campaign staffer, the candidate themself, or someone else entirely?

I decided to go back and answer the question the exact opposite of the way I would answer them. And the results are....
Kansas Senator Sam Brownback (R) 89.47% match
Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson (R) - 78.95%
California Representative Duncan Hunter (R) - 78.29%
Arizona Senator John McCain (R) - 76.32%
Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 75.00%
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) - 67.76%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) - 66.45%
Texas Representative Ron Paul (R) - 63.16%
Businessman John Cox (R) - 59.87%
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) - 57.24%
New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson (D) - 31.58%

Very interesting yet flawed, I hope people don't use this to select who to vote for.

Mine say Mike Gravel, but after seeing his performance in last night's debate I would think not. I was impressed by Mike Richardson, and Dennis Kucinich.
My lowest match was John McCain, Highest Republican was Romney, or Giuliani.

Sam Brownback wants to replace the constitution with one based on his religion. He is traitor to America. The rest of them are only slightly less desirable.

Interesting. My closest match was with Kucinich, which isn't surprising. If he had any hope of winning, I'd support him. But I have a 70% match with Senator Clinton, and that's not bad. She gets my vote.
