I just saw someone being interviewed who had visited somewhere in the middle east and he said that he was warned not to use a "thumbs up" because it has a bad meaning there...is this true?

I don't understand this and its a really sore subject with me. Why is everything turning into Spanish? It's America, Americans speak English, not spanish.How come you can't call somewhere without pressing 1 for English or 2 for Spanish. I'm sorry but if you live in this country learning English should be a must. It angers me at work when someone comes in and doesn't speak a lick of English and they get mad at you because you don't understand what they are saying or because you don't know Spanish. Everywhere you look there's signs in Spanish. I just think its wrong. Why would anyone in their right mind want to live somewhere and not know the language. I can't imagine moving to another country and having no idea what people are saying or not being able to read anything. It should be a law. You live in America, LEARN HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH. If people don't understand English thats their problem, not ours. Why should anyone have to deal with it?

I'm a sophomore in high school & my english teacher has assigned a very difficult project. This project is worth 95% of our grade for the semester. Anyways.. we are writing papers on 9/11 and how it has effected ourselves.... but... it is required that we talk to an actual person who was involved somehow in the 9/11 tragedy. This means they had a relative die from the attack, they survived the attack, they were a firefighter helping during the attack, etc. I'm having NO luck at all... so if anyone could please please please help me out here.. i would GREATLY appreciate it! I'm only 14 and my boyfriend is 17.

Im registering for my baby shower online, and was wondering what type or brand of bottles I should use? There are so many different choices, and I have no clue which would be best or what kind pediatricians recommend. Unfortunately, I won't be able to breastfeed due to health issues of my own.

ok so like actors who have british accents...i hear them when they do interviews and stuff. and i know a couple of actors that have british accents..but like in tv shows theyre accent doesn show at all. and they sound american. why?? i really want to know. do they edit it or something?? and OBVIOUSLY it's not ALL people with british accents but there are some and i was like woah why do they sound american
