It is a book of fictions in English. If the book is found publishable, I would like the publisher to bear the expences. Is there any you know of?

Roald is right - feel free to use the Q and A starred on my profile. There are a lot of good answers for novices to get them started.

First of all, you never send a manuscript to any publisher unsolicited. If the publisher guidelines say they accept unsolicited queries - that means you send them a well written query letter and synopsis of your book - follow the submission guidelines to the letter. The same goes if you are searching for an agent. Query letter first. Unsolicited material gets slushpiled for later form rejections.

If someone is interested, they will contact you for a manuscript - either full or partial - and a book proposal.

If your book is finished, now is the time to start learning how to write the three documents I just mentioned. 1)A query letter 2) A synopsis and 3) A book proposal.

There are books available on all three.

Now comes the part you don't want to hear about - spending money. Pay to have your book edited. Believe me it will double or even triple your chances of getting it published. A good editor will be able to work with you. They have been down this road before and they know how to take a good novel and turn it into a great novel. They know what sells. Expect to pay between 3 and 5 dollars a page based on 250 words per page for a decent editor. That is a drop in the bucket if they can turn your book into a success. I recommend doing it before you shop your book around to publishers and agents.

Just make sure you research anybody you query or send material to. NEVER send money to anyone or give your credit card number out. Check with Preditors and Editors and Absolute Write Water Cooler Bewares and Background Checks, Anne Crispin's site, Writers Wall - there are many sites to help writers avoid scams. Learn to use them. You will have to learn to advocate for yourself.

Word of caution. Expect rejection. Toughen your hide. It can take years to get a book accepted by a publisher. Gone With the Wind got FIFTY rejections. You will get your share, too. There is no such thing as an overnight success in publishing. You have to pay your dues. While you are waiting, write short stories and try to get them in magazines or anthologies. The writing credits will help get you noticed.

So now you have a lot to learn. Print out a batch of the Q and A I star and study them. It will help you tremendously.

Traditional publishers often require agents to work with you. Remember, nothing is free. Although, the only way an agent is legit is if they take a percent of your profits. But traditional publishers usually don't care about your manuscript. They just want the monies. I went with a self-publisher called DogEar, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you use a vanity publisher. POD is not the same as vanity/fringe. You should look up an agent for a publisher. But... check to see if there are any local publishers first. You'd be good to go with a local. Good luck!!

Any reputable publisher would not expect you to pay to have your work published-- they would pay you.
You might do some research at the "Writer's Digest" website, and look into the questions Persiphone (the top contributor here) has starred-- she's starred a lot of writing questions, and those answers would be a good place to start.
Also, check out some library books on revision and editing, so you can make your work the best that it can be before you submit it anywhere.

Most publishers will do so. Go to writersmarket.com and try them out. But nothing short of professional will endear a publisher to invest 10,000$ in you.

Then you have to submit the manuscript to them. If they really like it, they will pay you to publish it
