Who "have" to go to church? Im open to my wife about my non-beliefs but she truly loves for me to go to church with her. She never tries to force anything on me. She only wants me there for her comfort and as her husband. Anyone else go? What do you think about the whole time? Any good or bad experiences?

Here's the problem....

A speed skater moving across frictionless ice at 8.40 m/s hits a 4.80-m-wide patch of rough ice. She slows steadily, then continues on at 5.70 m/s.

What is her acceleration on the rough ice?

Why do such things like natural selection and survival of the fittest happen? Who put such things into motion? It couldn't have just happened.

I recently suggested to a guy that I shared a more than a friend relationship with for us 2 be friends and nothing more. I only suggested this cause we couldn't seem to get along. I really didn't want to, but I thought that it might be for the best. I didn't want us to end up hating each other and not ever speaking again. I mean, I would rather have him in my life as a friend than as nothing at all.My mind told me things aren't going to get better. However, my heart was telling me to tell him "Let's work it out, because I love you so much". He knows that I care, and I know that he cares, but we have never just looked each other in the face and said the words "I love you". Well, it has been two weeks since our agreement, and I still can't get him off my mind. It's so hard cause, we go to the same college. Whenever we see each other, we say hi. Sometimes he will make a crazy comment. I'll roll my eyes in a playful way and say "wuteva". My heart is smiling the whole time. Then we go on.

How could organs as complicated as the eye or the ear or the brain of even a tiny bird ever come about by chance or natural processes? How could a bacterial motor evolve?

My g/f has one tattoo on her back and another on her leg. She likes wearing short skirts with halters to show them off in the warm weather. It's a real turn on to me but friends tell me it's not a womanly thing to do. I say if you're proud of them don't be afraid to show it. The outfits are sexy but not slutty.

It has recently come to my attention, in this forum, that some Atheists do not disregard the possibility of some sort of afterlife. If this applies to You, would You tell me about this afterlife? Or is it just an unexamined possibility to You?

So I'm picking up my girlfriend from work, in my 99 champagne chevy camaro S.S. [had to throw that in there hehe] It's late, I had a long day at work so I wasn't in the best of moods... plus I was missing my favorite re-run show the simpsons...
lol it was the episode where homer has found absolutely no reasom to ever go to church again and sits on his AAAASSS and watches tv all sunday long...
hilarious what a classic huh?
um so yea
AAAAAANYWAY
we're headed home, we reach a stop sign and there's a coming vehicle on the right, and me as unpatient s.o.b that I am, I treat the stop sign as YIELD... so she screams "WAIT! THAT CAR"
I'm like are you kidding me? lol are you kidding me? Am I blind? I'm handling this car toots...
I'm in control, and by being in control means I know what's around me, I know my timing, I know when to hit the brakes don't EVER tell me what to do. . so we get in a sensless argument till we get home....
don't you hate it when people tell you how u should drive? how fast or how slow or wait for that car or go you'll make it ... pisses me off

I am doing a lab report on wave propogation, and the lab manual and the textbook both say that "a spherical wave has a spreading factor of 1/r", however everything I know about physics tells me that it should be 1/r^2. The lab question asks "what is the spreading factor for a 1-D wave? 2-D? 3-D?", which I would think would be 1, 1/r, and 1/r^2 respectively. Am I missing something here or is the book wrong?
