How smooth would you require it to be?
If we have two fossils and we found a transitional fossil that stood exactly between the first two on an evolutionary point of view, would you accept that it is a transitional fossil or would you ask for more transitional fossils between them?
My guess is the later.
There are countless fossils that have been found by paleontologists around the world (of course, not the billions you are asking for), yet you do not consider them to be a sufficient proof.
If you have an alternative theory based on facts, observation and induction, please come up with it.
We are not asking for billions of pieces of evidence. A handful will do.

They're being found all the time.
You probably think that the fossil record should show us a half-animal of some kind. That's not how it works. Animals are fully formed, fully functional organisms at every point along the evolutionary process, with changes so imperceptible that you'd never even see most of them from fossils alone.
Boy, this is like shooting fish in a barrel today. You must feel extra-threatened.
BTW, this is not a science forum.

Because fossils are not something you just go out in your backyard and find. Fossils happened accidentally, thru a certain process of pressure and the right soil and water conditions. There are billions of creatures that either haven't been fossilized, or haven't been unearthed yet. Have you ever buried a dead creature, and then dug it up after a year? There's no guarantee there will be any remaining part, especially after hundreds of thousands of years...

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to "make" a fossil?? We are fortunate to have the numbers we do have. If you think that every single living organism that dies leaves a fossil behind, youre not very intelligent...
And, go to Wiki and type is "transitional fossils" and you will get a list a mile long.

Please read up on how a fossil forms. There certainly aren't billions. There are many less than that, unfortunately, due to varying reasons. However, there is hard, scientific proof that states that evolution exists. You can still believe in god yet believe in evolution at the same time! That's totally okay!

Look in the mirror. We are all in transition. Do you know how many variables there are in fossil development? Fossils are rarer than red diamonds.

Because, my dear, the chance of any creature being preserved in fossil form after its death is lesser than that of an old blind woman finding a needle in a haystack.

Because not every bone has turned into a fossil. Bone is a biological substance and usually decomposes.

Whose theory? Maybe we have not found them yet. Everyday science makes new discoveries. Several were announced today.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
But I can open my eyes and see that life is evolving as we speak. Look at roses and dogs and cows and people.
New races of people are happening right now.
